Shopping

Saturday we went shopping to get a few clothes. I needed a few maternity shirts, so I went into motherhood. I was looking at some clothes when the sales person came up to me. She started talking to me and then asked me "Are you even pregnant?" I know I don't have a big baby bump but I still have one. I told her that I was and that I was 17 weeks along. She told me I was really small for being that far along. I guess I should feel happy about that.

We also got Abigail some clothes. We only had a few pair of pants for her and a few shirts. She thought us buying her clothes was the greatest thing ever. She would tell us how cute everything was. If she had her way we would of bought her one of everything.

I found Brooklyn a couple of shirts on said "My smiles keep me out of trouble" The other one said "Mom & Dad = Me" I had to get them for her.

A phase I do not like

Abigail is going through a phase right now. Where she cries when other kids come over, or when we go somewhere. And also when she goes to bed at night.

Tonight I babysat one of my neighbors kids for an hour. She goes to nursery with this girl, we have also babysit her a lot so I thought she would be fine. But as soon as she came in Abigail started to cry. I don't want to cuddle her and make her think she can cry so I make her sit on her bed. She finally calmed down when I told her we can do bubbles. I am just scared for when she goes to preschool. I hope that she will not keep acting like this. I am hoping it will help her grow a bit and not be so scared.

She has also been crying when we put her to bed lately. She wants to sleep on the couch, but we make her sleep in her bed. We don't know if she is scared of the dark or what. She has never had a night light and has never given us trouble going to bed. But lately she has. I guess we will just keep working with her.

Aggressive kid and messy kid

Brooklyn is a very aggressive she likes to take things from Abigail. When they fight for a toy she usually wins. She is also a biter. If she wants you to do something or if she wants something she will bite. She has bit Mike, Abigail and me. Today was the worst for Abigail. Brooklyn bit so hard that it left marks and was still red later on. We told Brooklyn you do not bite. We say it loudly and sternly but don't yell. I just need to find the right way to stop it. My mom told me to smack her on the face or bite her back and that is something we don't want to do. I guess we will just keep working with her. She is also stubborn. She is learning how to walk. But the only way that she will is if she is in the mood to. If you try to have her walk she screams at you and bends her knees. But she seems to be liking it more.

Abigail has been doing really well with potty training, well except with the pooping part. She will hold it for days and then go in her pants. So today when she pooped in her pants I made her clean up after herself. She had to clean her panties and rinse them out. She did not like it at all. I later asked her who cleans up after you poo. She told me no one, because I need to go in the potty. Mike later asked her who cleans it up and she said I do. We are hoping this will help her learn she need to go on the potty.

Funny Sunday

So Sunday was quite a funny day. Well a lot of it was.

First at church Mike and I had to speak. I went first, so I introduced us. I went up and said that we have been in the ward for two and a half years, then I said that we have only been married for 2 years. Luckily Mike got up and said actually we have been married for four years, but time flies when you are having fun.

That night for dinner Mike made dinner, he usually cooks the Sunday meals, because I am to tired or something. He made spaghetti we have not been able to get Abigail to eat that for a couple of years. Last night we put some on her plate and she asked for ketchup. We were like ok sure you can have some. So we gave it to her and then she ate her spaghetti that way.

After dinner we went to the park across from the temple to walk around. Abigail likes to lead us around, she took us down this big heal and then up the hill. We got to a table and we talked about what we learned in church. Mike said that he had to teach in priesthood about the priesthood. We told Abigail that daddy holds the priesthood. She then said we had to move. So we followed her to the next table. She holds her hands out towards the table and yells priesthood. We asked her what is priesthood and she pointed to that table. I guess we will have to have a lesson on what priesthood is.

4th anniversary

This past week Mike and I celebrated our 4th anniversary. Our goal was to go to the temple and then out to eat. Apparently my body had another plan. I had terrible morning sickness. I still have not thrown up, but I feel sick and I have nasty head aches that make me so dizzy that I can't stand up for to long.( I am going to talk to my Dr about that one) So instead we just went out to eat. The food was good, but it made me feel sicker on the way home.

After that we went to Knights furniture store. With another baby on the way we decided that we wanted to get new beds for the girls Mike said Bunk beds and I didn't know for sure. But we found a loft bed that is a lot shorter and had a stair case thing instead of a ladder, and then a trundle bed that fits under that you pull out at night. We have decided that is the one that we want when we get the money this fall. It also has drawers on the stairs.

We came home after that and I slept while Mike took care of the girls. He is so understanding this pregnancy and can tell I don't feel good. I hope the sickness will go away soon.

I think we got it

Well I think Abigail is officially potty trained. She is now asking to go all the time. She isn't even demanding the treat after. She is still proud of herself, every time. We even got her to go on a big potty today while we were away from home.

Tonight we decided not to put a pull up on her. She has been doing so well at staying dry at night. At first she didn't want to, she told me that she was supposed to wear them to bed. But I told her we were out. So she would try to do it the other way.

Mike and I were talking about how easy it was this time. All the other times that we tried she screamed and fought us on it. But this time she was excited to do it.

I know we will still have accidents, but it is nothing that we can't handle.

Potty training day 2-4

The second day was not a successful day at all. She kept having accidents. I think I got her to go once the whole day. It was hard on both of us.

The third day was a lot better. She didn't have an accident at all. I took her about every hour, when she went she would scream "I DID IT, TELL DADDY" She finally went poop in the potty too. Though I caught her in the act of going in her pants.

Today was another good day. She actually asked us a couple of times to take her. She even went for her baby sitter. She almost had an accident today, she started to go then stopped and we saw pee go down her leg. So Mike took her back and she finished in the toilet. He said she only went a little in her pants. Then tonight as Mike was getting her ready for bed she told him she needed to go. She then pooped in the potty.

We told her if she asked to go and went that she would get double the treats. We are just trying to get her to read her body a little bit so we don't need to keep asking her. We are so happy that she is learning. We only do pull ups at night time. Once we notice she is dry every night we will stop doing that.

Day 1 in potty training.

It started out slow with her only having accidents. Finally a little after 1 I got her to the potty on time. She started to go and it surprised her. I got excited and told her what a big girl she was. Which made her happy. I then gave her a candy and we waited to go again.

But I didn't make it in time and had an accident on our couch. So I went and changed her and had her help me clean up the couch. A little bit later we went again and then it was nap time. I put a pull up on her so she wouldn't have an accident.

As soon as she woke up from her nap we went to the bathroom. Her pull up was still dry and she went in the potty. I told her she did a good job. She then went about 5 more times that day with no accident. She even was telling me you go pee pee in the potty not in your pants.

We are so proud of her. I hope that tomorrow will go as well as today.

Trying to potty train again

Mike and I are both sick of changing Abigail's diapers. So we decided to try potty training again. This time we are not backing down. Mike is doing the morning and I am doing afternoon and evening. We are only having her wear panties and we will do pull ups at night.

So far we have had three accidents all in the bathroom. Either right before or right after. I guess we will just keep on trying and hopefully it will work. We keep telling her she needs to know how to go potty before going to school. Which will start around the end of the month.

Wish me luck.
