I am grateful that we could go to Mike's parents house for New years eve.

I am grateful that I could go to my family party tonight. They had a white elephant thing and Abigail picked the present that we took. It was a princess puzzle that she realoy wanted.

Day 79
I am grateful that we could spend time with family today. We went to lunch for Mike's dads birthday. Then we went to the TSO concert. It was a lot of fun.
I am grateful that my neighbor could watch my kids while I went to the concert. I love living in a neighborhood where we can switch baby sitting.
I am grateful that we are poor, so when the person stole my card number didn't have much money to spend. Jokes on them.
I am grateful that we got the whole thing with the stolen credit crad number taken care of. We are getting the money back and I am getting a new card within 10 days.

Mike and I got a charge to our banking account the other day. It confused us, and also made us get an overdraft fee. We called the number where the charge was and apparently someone used my card number. I hardly ever use my card so I was really confused someone named Dexter. We are now in the process of talking to the bank to see what we can do. I hate when people steal.

I am grateful for Mike. I am not feeling well today, so as soon as he walked in the door I went to take a nap. While I was sleeping he took care of the kids, cleaned the kitchen, and cooked dinner.
I am grateful for Xavier, I am trying weaning him and he is taking it good. I only nursed him one time today. He is loving the sippy cup and milk.

I am grateful that my kids slept in for them this morning. It was nice to sleep past 7.
I am grateful that my parents took our family to lunch today. The kids were really good.
I am grateful we have everything done for Christmas so we have no where to go tomorrow. Mike's parents are coming up and we just have to clean a little.

I am grateful that I was able to get some of my Christmas treats made today.

Day 69
I am grateful that my sharing time is over today. I felt that it went well.
I am grateful that Mike didn't hurt himself tonight. We were playing hide and seek with our kids. He decided to try to hide under Abigail's bed. In order to get there he had to climb on Brooklyn's. When he did that, Brooklyn's bed busted. Like we can't repair it bust. Now Brooklyn gets to sleep on the floor on her mattress. Which when putting her in bed she was a little upset about it.
I am grateful that Xavier finally went to sleep. He decided he didn't need to nap today.

I am grateful that I found my temple recommend tonight. I was looking for an hour and I finally prayed and found it in the first place I looked. I need it for tomorrow, because Mike's brother gets married tomorrow morning.
I am grateful that I won tickets to the TSO concert. It will be fun to go again.

I am gratefu that my downstairs neighbor fed my girls dinner tonight, I was having a bad day so it was nice to have a break. Plus they got Abigail to eat fish. Which is a huge thing, because she is so picky.
I am grateful Mike bought me chocolate today. I now have a stash.

I am grateful that it is Saturday and Mike was home today. We got our outdoor lights hung, went to a birthday party, and went to our ward party. The kids were very good all day.

Day 47
I am grateful that we could go visit Mike's parents today. It was good to spend some time with them. Ieven got a nap in. Brooklyn took advantage of most of the adults taking a nap to make a "cake" She opened one of the drawers pulled out the powedered sugar, pasta and shortening and mixed it together. Luckily Abigail knew to go get grandpa and he stopped her and cleaned it up. On the way home we were looking at Christmas lights and Abigail saw some on a water tower, which was shaped as tress and she screamed look at the party hats.

I am grateful for Mike, he made rolls for today, he went to the store to get medicine for Xavier who woke up with a fever. He stayed home today with sick Xavier.
I am grateful for family, today we had a meal with my family. Then on Saturday we will go to Mike's parents unless Xavier is still sick.

I am grateful that we ran out of milk today, that way I could go shopping the day before Thanksgiving and learn a lesson that you never want to go shopping the day before Thanksgiving.
I am grateful for the warm weather today. We were able to go out and play for a bit today.
I am grateful for my vacuum after playing outside, my kids dragged leafs in and I was able to vacuum them up.
I am grateful that tomorrow is Thanksgiving.

Day 39
I am grateful for make your own pizza night. Tonight I decided I wanted pizza for dinner and thought it would be fun to have the kids make their own. They had so much fun and then ate their whole dinner.
I am grateful that Brooklyn is ok. Tonight I was getting kids ready for bed before Mike came home. Abigail was in the bathroom and Brooklyn went back. Abigail yelled Brooklyn put something in the toilet. So I started to call to Brooklyn, but she wasn't coming. Which can be normal for her. So I went back and Brooklyn was in the toilet. I pulled her out and noticed Abigail still had not flushed. So I stripped Brooklyn and gave her a bath.
I am grateful for the snow.

trying to stay patient
I am having the hardest time being patient. 3 weeks ago Mike had an interview with Chevron for an internship, and potentially a job for when he graduates. We still have not heard anything. They told someone that interviewed that it would be two weeks. That came and past. It is just so hard to wait for things that can be life changing. I hope we will find out soon.

I am grateful for Mike, he helped me get the house ready for the wedding shower that I threw today. He alos halped me make some carmel popcorn that I am making for primary.
I am grateful for kids friends. Abigail got invited to go to a birthday party today. She had a lot of fun. We found out later one of the kids there had lice, so we are praying that she doesn't get it.
I am grateful for my landlord, we called him tonight because our tub wasn't draining and he came tonoght and fixed it.

I am grateful for only having one car today, I had to go to the store and I needed to work out so I killed to birds with one stone by walking to the store pushing all 3 kids in the stroller. If I had a car I probably would of been lazy and drove.
I am grateful that Mike came home early so I could go to round table tonight. It will be nice when he is home at nights so he doesn't have to leave work early.
I am grateful that part of my dinner turned out tonight. I was trying to be a good wife and have dinner ready was making stew and rolls and the stew didn't work out, but the rolls did. Which is good, because that is the part that the kids actually like to eat.

I am grateful that I finished making applesauce today. I yad a few nice people that came and helped me make it. My kids were also good while I made it.
I am grateful that I was able to go visit tonight with the stake primary presidency. It made me have a good feeling.
I am grateful that Mike was able to come home so I could go visit.
I am grateful for finding new good recipes. I am always scared to try something new, so it is good when they turn out.

I am grateful that my grandma gave me apples. She gave me two boxes full, so I am sharing with my neighbor and we are making applesauce. Which is really easy, it just takes time.
I am grateful for the fall weather, today was stormy and it finally felt like fall.
I am grateful for my bed, that I have somewhere comfy to sleep.
Also 25 years ago today I was baptized. It is crazy how fasr time flies.

I am grateful that it was a beautiful day. I was able to walk to get some shopping done and the kids trick or treating. They loved getting candy and Xavier slept.
I am grateful that my friend Janine was able to go with me trick or treating tonight, would of been hard going by myself.
I am glad Mike was able to register for school today. His schedule next semester will get to be home at nights. First time since we have had kids that he will have that type of schedule. I would rather have him home at night than in the morning.

I am grateful for Sunday, it is always nice to go to church and feel the Spirit. We also have a tradition to go on Sunday drives around the temple. We love doing it and so do Mike and I. We also carved pumpkins today. I was just going to carve Xavier's because the girls were coloring theirs. It was a good day.

I am grateful that I didn't have to cook dinner tonight. I love having dinners with my neighbor. Helps the days go faster.

I am grateful that it was nice today, we went to the park with friends and then we played outside with friends later on. My kids are a lot happier when they have some outdoor time.

Day 7
I am grateful for the kids bedtime, it is the only time our house is somewhat quiet.
I am grateful for friends, one came and hung out for a bit today and then I had dinner at another. One of their daughters told me I was silly because I have cobweb up in my house. It made me laugh.
I am grateful for my girls they sure make me laugh sometimes. Like today Brooklyn attacked Abigail with some lip stick that she found. Abigail told me that she thought it was funny.
They also helped me clean the house today.
I am grateful for the kids bedtime, it is the only time our house is somewhat quiet.
I am grateful for friends, one came and hung out for a bit today and then I had dinner at another. One of their daughters told me I was silly because I have cobweb up in my house. It made me laugh.

Xavier 9 months
Xavier turned 9 months old last week. These past 9 months sure have passed quickly. I took him to the doctor on Friday he now weighs 20 pounds is 29 inches tall. I don't know how big his head was, but I remember it was in the 95% I guess my kids have big heads. He is crawling' everywhere. He pushes up on everything. Yesterday he was standing and started pushing a box around the living room. So we decided to give him his Christmas present early which is a toy he can walk behind. So far the girls have been fighting over it. He tries to get close to'it, but they think they need it. Xavier eats like a champ, he loves everything that we feed him. He has four teeth coming in so'he has been a little cranky, but it will all soon be over.

Day 5
Today I am grateful that I was able to get out of the house to go to a friends baby shower.
I am grateful I could go grocery shopping without any kids.
I am grateful for the great weather that we are still having. I was able to play outside with my kids today. We also went on a family walk tonight.

Day 2
Today I am grateful for Mike, he got up early with Brooklyn this morning. He made the kids breakfast. He came home from work early so I could go do a service project and then to enrichment. He got the kids fed and had them clean and put them to bed.

Year of Gratitude
I have decided that I want to have a year of gratitude, where every day I post things that I am grateful for.
Day 1
I am grateful for my friend Janine, we started doing dinners together. Our husbands both work at night and miss dinners so we take turns to cook. So she is cooking dinner tonight. I am grateful I don't have to.
I am grateful for pumpkin pie. Mike and I made some the other night and it is just so good.
I am grateful for Xavier because he took a long morning nap, so I had time to shower and clean my house.
I am grateful for my girls, because they cleaned without me asking them to.
I am grateful for my husband that he is willing to go to work to provide for our family.

Date with Mike
So Saturday Mike and I went on a date. First we went to the temple. We have decided that we should go monthly. I just love the feeling that you have when you go to the temple. Everyone is so happy. After that we went out to eat at Blue Lemon. It is good place to eat. It is in Highland and Mike heard about it from our bishop. We both got sandwiches and they were both good. We got some things from their bakery to bring home. I got a red velvet cupcake. It was so yummy and moist.
That is all that we did, but it was good to get out. I was happy that my parents were able to baby sit for us.

Hide and seek
We have family home evening on Sunday nights since Mike works Monday nights. Tonight we had a lesson and the the girls wanted to play games. First we played a game where we hide an object in the room and everyone finds it. My girls will hide it and as you are going in to find it will tell you where they hid it. Brooklyn picks a place to hide it and every time it is her turn to hide it that is where it goes.
After that game we played hide and seek. We opened all the doors in our house so they could hide in every room. The girls wouldn't really hide they just stood in a room and waited until you came to find them and would scream with delight when they saw you. Mike hid really good from Abigail once. She went into the room three or four times and never saw him.
We ended the night having pumpkin pie. Which both of the girls ate very well. And Xavier showed us that he could pull himself up on the couch. But I was in the other room so Mike only saw it. Someday I will see him do it.

It has been awhile, guess I have been busy. It was a fun summer. Our neighborhood has improved greatly the past year or so. A lot more kids that are about the same age, so they all play well together. And all of us moms get along well. So we spent a lot of time outside. We also were going to the park weekly, which was fun. My kids actually know how to play at a park now. I guess I will just give an update on everyone. More for my sake than anyone else.
Xavier is growing like a weed. He is almost 8 months now. He has his two bottom teeth. He loves almost everyone and will give them smiles. He is always happy unless he is tired or hungry. He has the army crawl down and will do a few steps in the real crawling. He loves getting up on his hands and knees. He ate baby food for about 1 month and then decided table food is much better. So that is all he wants to eat. I just cut it up really small and make sure I don't feed him anything he can't have. He looks a lot like Mike's side of the family. He can say mama and daddy and yum.
Brooklyn is also growing a lot. She had the hernia surgery in July. It went well. Her belly button looks a lot better now. It still sticks out a bit but not as bad as it did. It took her a little bit to recover. She was in a lot of pain at first that she would not climb up and down things. But that soon went away. She has a very healthy appetite she will eat basically anything I put in front of her. We gave her corn on the cob one day and she loved it. She will eat it down to the core. It has got to the point that she will see it at the store and ask for it. She is starting to talk a lot more. Before it was just to Mike and I, but now she is talking to everyone. She still glares at people she doesn't know, which makes me laugh. She loves watching Mickey Mouse and is showing interest in wanting to potty train. She will put the chair up and sit on it. She is our social bug. She loves going and playing with other people at their house.
Abigail just started her 2nd year of preschool. I was struggling what to do with her this year. It was between being in a group where I teach once in a while or my neighbor offered to teach her for ten dollars a month. She had friends in both groups. I decided to have my neighbor teach her. Less stress for me. She is loving it so far. She is still a very picky eater. I think I can count what she will eat on my fingers. We try not to push food on her, but I wish she would eat more. She is growing too. She is just getting a lot taller. She loves going to primary. She loves her teachers.She loves playing games on the computer, we have a site set up for her that has all her games on it. Which she will play. They are all learning games so it is good for her.
Mike started school again, so he is gone about 12 hours or more a day. It is the hardest on the kids. He has about a year and a half left in school. We are still trying for our weight loss and he decided that he needs to grow his beard the whole time. So it is getting very bushy I will have to take a picture of it some time.
I am doing good. Trying to get more hobby's because Mike told me I needed some. I guess I told him I was bored to much. I got a canning set for an early birthday so I am going to can stuff. We canned salsa last night I still want to do spaghetti sauce, tomato juice and apple sauce. I hate applesauce but my kids love it. Plus I can get free apples from my grandma. I am making the kids pajamas for Christmas and going to try finishing making blankets for them. I am doing good on the weight loss. I need to get working out again. I got sick and so I quit. I just need to make time for it again. I only have 5 more pounds to go until my goal. So I think I am still doing well. I am eating well, so I think that is what helped.

Life
Our life has been somewhat busy. In June we had Mike's and Brooklyn's birthday. Mike's birthday was very low key. He had to work that day, so we did things that evening. We went out to eat and then we took the kids to the park to play. Since the next day we were leaving for a family reunion we didn't have any cake.
The next day was Brooklyn's birthday. We woke up that morning made breakfast and then left for the family reunion. It was down in Delta at Mike's parents house. There were ups and downs again. I was a bit bored but that is alright the kids had fun. I was going to go the the shoot out they had, but Xavier didn't want to be there. I think the worst part was cleaning up after people's meals. We were all assigned a meal and had to clean up after it. I think I cleaned up after 2 people other than myself. I didn't want to leave it for my mother in law to worry about. I will post pictures later. Though I only got pictures from the first day.
The week after was Brooklyn's 2 year old check up and I took Abigail in for her 4 year old check up. They are both growing but still really small girls. Brooklyn has a Umbilical hernia so we had to take her up to Salt Lake to have a pediatric surgeon look at it. She is scheduled for surgery on the 14th of this month. They said it is a very minor surgery which is good.
Xavier cut his first tooth this week and also started to like solids. He is rolling all over, he will get on his tummy and try to push up. He is still not wanting to sleep through the night. I try to let him cry it out but he just gets louder.
Mike and I set weight loss goal. We are goal is to lose a certain amount in a year and if we do, then we get to go on a vacation. He wants to go on a road trip with his brother down to Arizona and watch a football game. If I lose the weight I will go to Seattle to visit my sister and most likely my sister in law. My goal is to at least lose 20 pounds, but I will keep going if I can. I have worked out 3 times this week and have been cutting back on food. We are not going to eat out unless it is a special occasion or if we are heading to Delta around dinner time.
Well that is what is happening in our life now.

Am I paranoid?
I think I may be paranoid. We just had someone come to our door trying to sale meat. I said that we were not interested, she said well we accept food stamps. I told her again we were not interested. She then yelled FINE at me and stormed off our porch. She didn't have any paper work, or anything to prove that she actually had meat to sale. I also got a bad feeling about it.
I don't mind all door to door sales people, but some are very creepy. I just think they need proof of the company they work for. Maybe it is just me.

Sewing projects
Need to retie the tiesSo yesterday and today I decided to do some of the sewing projects that I have been meaning to do forever. First I made a new tote bag for my primary stuff. My old bag was ugly and falling apart. I like this new bag it is reversible so I can use what ever side I am in the mood for. Not even 3 hours after making it, Brooklyn took a crayon to it. I guess that is part of motherhood. Next I made some ties for Xavier. I found a pattern and they were so simple to make. I think I would of got done faster, if I didn't have to take care of the kids and Xavier wasn't clingy to me. But here are the pictures.

Thankful
As I lay in bed at 5 this morning. After being woken up about the 5th time by one of my kids. I started to think what I am thankful for.
I am Thankful for my husband and his willingness to stay home some nights so I can get out. He even takes Xavier who lately hates bottles. He will help clean the house, and cook dinner. He changes diapers without being asked. He will bathe the kids. If it is nice outside or snows he takes the girls out to play. He taught me how to be a better cook. He works to support our family.
I am Thankful for Abigail. She is a really good big sister. She will throw diapers away for me. She will help to clean willingly. She likes to tell us if Brooklyn is doing something wrong. She is learning so much at preschool. She will read to her little sister or try to. She loves to sing and loves going to sunbeams.
I am Thankful for Brooklyn. She is our most dramatic little girl. She has the cheesiest smile. She loves playing with her big sister. She helps clean, for the most part. She is a really good eater, we can put anything in front of her and she will eat it. She loves meat the most. You can give her meat and a veggie and she will eat the meat first and want more.
I am Thankful for Xavier he is such a sweet little boy. He is starting to interact more with us. He loves his sisters, but loves his mommy the most. He is starting to roll, and grab everything. The other day while changing his diaper he grabbed both of my hands and pulled them towards his mouth.
I am also thankful for my food, shelter, our beds, and clothes.
I am thankful that we have a car. I know it is sometimes hard to just have one car, but at least we have one. Someday maybe we will have 2.
I am thankful for the gospel in my life. It has truly been a blessing in my life. I feel at peace because of it.
I am thankful for Mike and my parents and for all the love and support that they give us. For the way they play with our kids and love them. If we need help they are always a phone call away.
I am thankful for my ward. For all how friendly it is. Everyone is so nice.

A visit to grandma's
This past weekend we went to Delta to visit Mike's parents. We told Abigail that morning that we were going to go when Mike got off work. So all day she kept asking me when we were going to go. I tried to keep her busy, but time passed very slowly for both of us.
Soon Mike came home we packed up the car, and we were on our way. Luckily the kids slept on the way down. We stopped in Nephi to get dinner, which they ate pretty good. Brooklyn ate her whole kids meal, and a bottle of chocolate milk. We were surprised.
When we got down there Abigail gave grandma a mother's day gift and then they started to play. We let the kids play until 10. Xavier went to bed, about 8 or 8:30. It shocked my mother in law all I had to do was feed him and lay him down and he went to sleep on his own. He gets mad if we even try to cuddle him anymore. After we got him to bed we played Rook with Mike's parents. I didn't know how to play Rook until I met Mike and it has become one of my favorite games. We ended up beating them pretty bad, it mad me feel bad.
Saturday we went to the park. The girls had fun playing on the playground. We took them to see the stream and Brooklyn went right in and sat down in the water. I didn't think to bring her a change of clothes. All I had was a spare diaper and a pair of Xavier pants. So I put Xavier's pants on her. They were really cute. Mike's parents were nice and bought us some ice cream cones. Mike ended up eating 3 because Abigail took one bite and was done. And Brooklyn ate some then was done. We stayed and hung out at Mike's parents until 7 or 8 then drove home. It was a good visit.

Preschool next week
I have preschool next week. We are going to make a mother's day craft. I have thought and thought about it. Mike told me I needed to use the pipe cleaners. I finally figured out what to make, I also figured out how to make them so they look nice. I can't say what it is right now, or post a picture. Just because I don't want it to get out to one of the moms. But I really like them.
Now I just need to figure out what to do for Tuesday. I have the color yellow, the number 28 and the word not. I know I am going to make banana cream pie one day, because it is a yellow dessert. But who know what else.
This is my last time teaching preschool. Still trying to decide what to do for next year.

My silly girls
Here are a couple of pictures from the past little while of my girls being silly.
We were getting to go somewhere Brooklyn had tights and a onesie on and put her coat on and boots. We thought it was really cute so we didn't make her get dressed anymore. We were only going on a drive so no where public.
Abigail like to do hair all the time one day she asked me to do their hair. She brought me a bunch of rubber bands so I put them all in their hair. The loved it. I really like how Abigail's looks.

Easter weekend
Easter weekend was really busy for us. Saturday morning we woke up and colored Easter eggs. We did Tye dyed ones. They were so easy. You put a little color on the eggs in the baggie. Then you rub the color around. Brooklyn tried, but I had to help her out a lot. Abigail was really good at it. We decided to do eggs like this again.

For lunch I went up to Salt Lake and had lunch with some of my old roommates. We went to Zupas. It was really good, and fun to catch up with these girls. One of them is pregnant and due in 3 weeks she looks about 6 months pregnant so small. We are going to try to hang out more often.
Saturday night we went to dinner with most of my siblings. My sister surprised us and came down from Seattle. We were going to go to Texas Roadhouse, but there was a 3 hour wait. So we decided to go to Tacanos, but there was a 2 1/2 hour wait so we went to La Jolla Grove. It is a really yummy place. Mike and I have been before and when they said a 10 minute wait we were happy. After dinner we went to my brother's house to have cake for my sisters birthday. It was just a good night got home late, Mike and I stayed up later, because we had to make food for the next day.

This is my side of the family. First time in 5 years since we have been together.
Sunday we went to church, Mike sang in the choir and they sounded really good. Our two youngest took turns being cranky and crying. Mike and I were in the hall a lot. Abigail had to give a talk in Primary so we went and did that, then left to go to my family party. We had lunch, then we took pictures. After that we had an Easter egg hunt. I hid eggs then had to go feed Xavier so I didn't get any pictures. After that we had desert Mike made Creme Brulee. It was so good. He hasn't made it since we got married. My family loved it and asked him if he would make it again. We only had enough ramekin's to make 1 per couple plus 1 extra. Everyone wanted more so we told them to buy us more and we can make more next time. We also had pound cake and strawberries that my sister-in-law made. Which was pretty good. We went to my grandma Smith's house after that, it was her birthday and they have an annual Easter party. Mike and I didn't stay very long, because it was cold and windy and Xavier hated it and was screaming the whole time. We thought it just wasn't worth it. We came home and did a puzzle with our kids then played the wii. It was a good Easter.

Getting ready to celebrate Easter
We have been trying to teach Abigail the true meaning of Easter. We still got her a basket and stuff, but we want her to know why we celebrate it. After telling her about the resurrection we asked her why we celebrate. She said "because Jesus died, but he was really sleeping so he was awake again." We are going to still work on it. But I think she is slowly getting the idea. Before she thought it was all about eggs and stuff. Abigail is giving a talk in primary on Sunday about how Jesus was resurrected.
I am so excited for them to get their new Easter dresses to wear to church. I will post pictures of them. Last year I got them the same dresses. This year they are almost the same style but different. I got Xavier and outfit too, but I bought it to big so he could wear it for awhile. So hopefully he will have some of it on.

Family functions
Mike and I grew up very differently, when it comes to hanging out with extended family. Mike grew up in the military, where most of his life he didn't live close to family. So he basically got really close with his siblings and barely knew his cousins. To this day if we go to family reunions of his I will ask who someone is and he will tell me he doesn't know. Kind of funny. I grew up where we lived close to our family. Like most of my family was about a half hour away, where only a few lived further. So we always did family things.
So it has been a hard thing for us to compromise on. We don't mind doing things with our parents and siblings, and their kids. But when it gets to be more, we have a harder time. My dads side of the family has got to the point where they do a reunion once a year. Or if there is a big thing going on with my grandparents we hang out then. My moms side is totally different. They still want to do Christmas parties, Easter parties, and Thanksgiving parties. Mike has a really hard time with that, just because my family is always late. We get there on time and they are like an hour late getting started. So our kids are cranky by then. We also just sit there so Mike gets really bored. So do I. Mike and I think it is time for them just to do reunions, but we don't know how to mention it without hurting feelings.(some people are really sensitive).
There is an Easter party coming up this Sunday, we are already going to go to one at my moms before the one at my grandmas. It is supposed to rain on Sunday so we are trying to decide if we should even go to my grandmas house. Our kids will be tired by then and if it is raining that will not help matters. sleeping and temper tantrums.
Xavier has by far been our worst sleeper. He will go in waves of getting up one or 2 times a night to every hour. He hated taking naps in our room where his bed is. So Mike and I decided to put him in our storage/game room. He has been taking good naps in there and also has been sleeping really well at night. He gets up twice and hopefully through the night soon. I am also sleeping better, because I don't wake up to every noise he makes.
Once he starts sleeping through the night we will put him in with the girls. Brooklyn is such a light sleeper sometimes, I wouldn't want her to wake up. Speaking about Brooklyn, she has the hardest time going to bed. I will put her to bed about 8 or 8:30 at night and she will be awake for an hour. Running around keeping Abigail awake, it is so hard. At first we would just keep putting her back into bed, but now we wait until it is quiet and we will go and put her in bed. I am just happy she hasn't learned how to open doors yet. Or we would be in trouble.
Also about Brooklyn she is very dramatic she always has been, but it has gotten worse the older she gets. Lately if something isn't going her way, if you tell her no, give her food or drink she doesn't want, or try to take her somewhere where she doesn't want to go. She will throw herself on the floor and scream. We either go and put her on her bed, or we ignore it. It can be hard sometimes. For example one day I gave her milk and she didn't want the cup I gave it to her in. So she threw herself to the ground and screamed so I just put the cup on the chair where she could reach it and walked out of the room. A couple of minutes later she came out with her milk and was happy. I wish we just could get rid of the tantrums. Hopefully it is just a phase.

Habits
Mike and I have been talking about habits lately. If it is a good habit at first it seems harder to make that habit. For example, I am having the hardest time getting into the habit of exercising again. I was doing good until our whole house got sick and then I just have not gotten into it. Or having the habit of keeping the house clean, some days I am really good at it. But then other times I am just to tired.
On the other hand bad habits are easier to do. For example for me is eating to much sweets I love them so much, and probably eat more than my fair share. It just seems like I have an easier time with bad habits.
I am going to try harder on good habits, then maybe it will be OK to have the chocolate.

At least it builds up their immune system
We still have sickness in our home. Abigail is better, but Brooklyn got worse. Saturday she started with diarrhea and had a fever so we took her into the doctor. They said she had a sinus infection, and prescribed a antibiotic. But since then her diarrhea has got worse, her appetite has gone down, and she is not her normal bubbly self. I called doctor and they said her body is just trying to flush the sickness out.
Xavier had just been congested, I would clean out his nose, and he seemed to be fine. Last night he started throwing up. He would choke on it so I would have to turn him to his side. If I held him, he wouldn't throw up as much unless i laid him on his back. Needless to say I didn't get sleep last night. He still has no fever, but we will see how it goes.
We were planning on going to Mike's parents this weekend, but we will see how it goes. We don't want to share our germs.

Sunday our home teachers stopped by. One of them was saying how sick their kid had been this year and asked us if we had a lot of sickness. We said no, just a small cold or two. Little did we know what was coming our way. All of us got head colds and then Abigail got some stomach bug. Luckily Mike took care of her for the most part and she only threw up like 4 times. But I didn't sleep well I never can when one of my kids is sick. Of course Xavier slept well last night, so I missed out on getting good sleep.
This morning she was asking for food and saying her stomach didn't hurt. But with her cold she still has a fever and just wants to be lazy. Since she wanted to be lazy I decided it was pajama day. Which of course meant that people would stop by. But it is all good. I just hope Brooklyn doesn't get the stomach sickness. If she does I hope it comes when Mike is home. We are trying to not get the baby sick.

Our Big Boy
Xavier turned two months on the 12th. He is a big boy. I took him to the doctor today he weighs 14 pounds and is 24 inches tall. He is a pretty good baby still gets up at least once a night. Loves is sisters and finally yesterday smiled at Mike. He got his shots today and has not been happy since. Here are some recent pictures of him.
Mike's spring break
Mike had his spring break this week. So we decided it would be fun if he took a few days off for some family time. Wednesday night Mike and his brother decided to go camping. A couple of hours later I received a phone call from Mike informing me that they got stuck, they had to call a to someone to help them out. They ended up calling 4X4 recovery service, that helps off roaders get unstuck. Unfortunately the cost a lot. Luckily Mike and I had money in our account. He ended up coming home that night, which was good since it was pouring rain outside.
Thursday we had family pictures, for the first time in awhile. Last time we did it, I had a friend do them for us. They were not good at all and she took over 100 pictures. Yesterday was much nicer. We went to sears and it was just us there so it was nice and relaxing. We got a family picture then a picture of all 3 kids then individual pictures of the kids. Xavier ended up being the best off all the kids. That night I went to a baby shower for one of my neighbors. Xavier stayed home with Mike and was really good.
Friday we had fun plans, first Xavier had his 2 month appointment (more on that later). When we got home, I fed him and we got ready to go to the zoo. The weather said it should be in the mid fifties and partly cloudy, so we thought that it would be perfect. So we get up there since it was lunch time we decided to have a picnic lunch, so we went to the This is the place park. We get out of the car and it was cold, we walked to the table and it was windy and freezing. So we headed back to our car and had a picnic in there. We decided that we didn't want to go to the zoo if it was that cold, but we also didn't want to drive back home. So we talked about where we could go. Mike called his brother to ask him to look on the Internet for a kid friendly place to go. He told us to go to the discovery gateway children's museum. It was pricey, but worth the money. They had make believe areas for kids, musical toys, building areas, puzzles magnets. It was awesome. We would of stayed longer, but Xavier got cranky. We took some pictures, so enjoy.
