Dr Appointment

I had my first prenatal visit today. I really like my new doctor, he is funny and nice. Mike and I both had an easy time talking to him. He said that everything looked good. He did a mini ultrasound the heart beat is at 171 beats per minute and baby is measuring at 12 weeks one day. It was so neat to be able to see my baby and to know that everything was good with it. I have another appointment in a month, and in two months I get to find out the sex of the baby.
I am feeling a lot better today. I have ate more today and drank a lot more. I am hoping that I don't get sick again.
Here are our babies first pictures

you can see its leg arm and head in this one.

Trip to Er

Tuesday night I threw up basically everything I had ate that day. That whole night I kept waking up feeling really sick and hot. Yesterday I couldn't keep anything down, and really didn't pee. I started to worry, so I called my OB and told them what was going on. They told me to go to the er and get an iv. So Mike and I were at the er for about 4 hours yesterday trying to get me hydrated again. They couldn't hear the heart beat, but there machine they were using said that there was one. I have a appointment with my OB today, so I think he will be able to find it. This morning I am still a little lightheaded and I have to go to a final. Luckily I have a husband that is willing to drive me. Our teacher said she had to have a final so we are just going to go sit in the classroom for a half hour. I was impressed with the person who put the iv in me it took her one try and it wasn't as bad as the last time I got an iv. I really hope I feel better soon. They gave me medicine for morning sickness, because they think that is what caused it.

Weekend

We have had a fun weekend so far. Friday night we went to Mike's work party. I was kind of bored, but I think that is because I didn't know anyone. Abigail had fun running around. Saturday we went and bought Abigail's Christmas present. We went in one store and Santa Claus was sitting there. There was no line so I took Abigail up as soon as I sat her down she started screaming. She doesn't like strangers. But she got her picture taking and a candy cane. Which she started to eat right away and we soon had a sticky child. Mike's brother and his wife came over later that afternoon we had lunch and then we went and walked around Ikea. When we got home Mike got very sick and was up half of the night. We think it might be food poisoning and the only thing he ate different then me was fish. So today for church I get to struggle with a 17 month old and teach a primary class. I am going to see if they will let me put her nursery for just today. I only have four students, but they are 7 and some days don't know how to be reverent. I got to pick any lesson to teach this Sunday. I chose to talk about baptism since they are less than a year away from it. Well I need to go get Abigail dressed and get the rest of my stuff ready for church, and eat a little before church, so the morning sickness doesn't come back.

poor Abigail

Last night I was sitting peacefully on the couch eating a cookie, when Abigail came up. She started to cry because she wanted to get on the couch. She knows how to climb up, but last night she just couldn't do it. I was about to pick her up and she started throwing up. All over her, the blanket and me. I was like eww gross. I decided to take off her clothes and I took them to the washer with the blanket. Here I am 11 weeks pregnant and I started gagging, I was like oh no I am going to throw up too. Luckily I didn't so I finished getting everything cleaned up. By then it was Abigail's bed time. I put her to bed. Heard her coughing a little but I thought that was it. We woke up this morning, I was already having morning sickness. I opened her bedroom door and there was this strong odor of puke. I was like Mike you have this one I am going to be sick. We put her right in the bathtub. There was throw up all over her hair and stuff really gross. But Mike cleaned out her bed and stuff. She ate a banana this morning and we are just waiting to see if she keeps it down. It has almost been an hour, so I am crossing my fingers she has been playing all morning and acting like she isn't sick.

I thought last week was busy.........

So it is only Monday, but my list of things to do by Thursday is like a mile long and I am not going to get to do every option that is on the list. I have a lot of studying to do with finals next week. I have a take home quiz to do before Wednesday. My plan is to do it tonight after Abigail goes to bed. She has a hard time with me doing homework. She always thinks that it is her turn to write. I need to finish my computer assignment. I am almost done, but I have to work on it more. I have two big tests on Wednesday. One I have known about for a long time, and I will have no problem with it. Its in my math class and I am having no problems doing homework and he takes test questions from our book. My other class I am basically failing already this teacher gives hard tests. Today he told our class that most of us will fail the final. But he blames the students. Anyway he has a test this week and next week so that will be fun. But they will both only be in the testing center two day and the second day I will have to pay. I decided I do not want to pay to fail. Thursday is the last day of regular classes. Which is good. I am so excited. I will be done soon.
Friday will be relaxing. That night is Mike's work party, so that will be fun. We are making rolls for it and then we are making a dessert for a contest last year we were in second place we are shooting for first place this year. I also have to teach Primary on Sunday, but it is on my favorite lesson. I decided my class needs the Reverent lesson again they have a hard time sitting still.

long week

It has been a long week. I had to find a different baby sitter twice this week and one day I stayed home. The first day my sister-in-law who baby sits Abigail had to go into Dr. for pregnancy diabetes test. It came back positive so next day she had to get more tests. First day I had a baby sitter the next day I didn't have one so I stayed home with Abigail. Today we were about 5 minutes away from dropping her off at the baby sitters and I get a phone call. My sister-in-law had 3 out of her 5 kids with the stomach flu. We quickly decided we didn't want to take her there. We didn't want her to get sick again. Especially since finals are in two weeks. And next week is going to be a busy week. I have 3 tests. So Mike called his brother and we asked them if they could watch her. Luckily they said yes. So Mike dropped me off at school and took her there.
Last night was our ward Christmas party. We went hoping that we could get a picture of Abigail on Santa's lap. As you can see I have no picture. Their program lasted for about an hour and a half. It was good at first but started to get boring. So by time Santa came in they said the kids could go say hi and get a candy cane but that was it. I was so disappointed, but oh well. I guess there will be other years.
I went to my doctors office this week so they could start blood work on me and urine work, before my first doctor appointment that is in a couple of weeks. Yesterday I found out I have a bladder infection.

Football bunny and random pictures

For about first year of Abigail's life she didn't have a favorite toy. Until one day she discovered this bunny that holds a football. We have had the bunny for a couple of months I won it at some white elephant party. Abigail wants to go to bed with it every night. And when ever she sees the bunny she gives a bunny a big hug and says ohhhh. If you try to hold it she comes and gets it from you and then runs away laughing. I am so happy that she has a favorite toy. Mike is happy that the bunny has a football, because that is his favorite sport.

One day Abigail decided to put both of her feet in her cookie jar. I tried to get a picture of her standing but she fell down to fast. This is of her falling down, with both feet still in the cookie jar.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was fun this year. We went to my family party ate cold food, because my family is always slow. Then we went to Delta and hung out with Mike's family. It was fun. Abigail liked it down there this time. She actually walked all around and hung out with grandma and grandpa. We only stayed one night because Mike had to work Saturday. It was a good weekend overall was good.
Primary frustrated me. I was giving a lesson on how to prepare for Christ to come and we were playing a game. it had good things you could do and one of them said give someone a hug. Anyway our students took it as they had to hug each other right then and there. Anyway there was a boy that kept hugging one of the girls. You could tell that she was uncomfortable. She kept asking him why are you hugging me. Anyway I had to finally put the stop to the hugging by saying hugging is nice, but we can't hug to much so we should stop hugging each other.

talking

Abigail has been talking a lot more lately. She likes to say baby, bye bye (with the waving) puppy, hungry, light (at the time she is pointing to a light) and many other words. It makes me so happy.
She is still a little sick. She only threw up once, but lets say we have been going through diapers and wipes. She is finally wanting to eat again so that is good even if it is just a little bit. We are hoping that she is all better by Thursday. We have plans to go places and if she is sick we will have to stay home.
Mike is doing good. He skipped school yesterday and went today. His job is going good. Its just hard having him being gone until 10 every week night.
I am good. I guess I can officially announce it now. I am 8 weeks pregnant. This pregnancy is totally different from Abigail's I constantly have morning sickness. It is not fun. I am also always hungry and if I don't eat it makes me feel sicker. First thing in the morning is the worst and I have to go to school at that time. I am so ready for the semester to be over. I am due the beginning of July. The due date is exactly one week before Abigail's second birthday. We are really excited.

11/23/2008

sick baby again

Abigail has the stomach flu. Poor little girl. We put her to bed early and a little bit later we heard her coughing and then crying then gagging. I knew right away that she was throwing up. Luckily Mike went in there and picked her up and cleaned her bed while I cleaned her up. Mike is staying home from school with her tomorrow, while I go to school. This is the first time she has the stomach flu so it is hard on her. But Mike and I think that we will be able to handle it.

Reflection

I really don't know what to write about in my reflection this week. Because we just worked on our final projects again. I am really enjoying doing them and they are not that hard. I still think that all the tools will be great in my future. I just need to spend more time on getting everything done. I think the hardest part for me is coming up with ideas what to write about. My mind has been a complete blank. I hope in the future i will be able to think better.

YAY!!!! For DR. Shively

DR. Shively is my science teacher. He gives the WORST tests in the world. He has trick questions and everything. Anyway this week I was going to school thinking that I was going to have some big test. It was a comprehensive one from about chapter 5 to 12. On Wednesday this guy who was not our teacher walked in and gave us a test. He said this is open note, book and neighbor good luck and it is due next time. It was 7 pages long. So me and a bunch of people around me got together and each took one page and did it together. We even met early on Friday to compare all of our answers. I was so happy that I finally was going to be able to do good on one of his tests. I think it is awesome when your teacher does something like that for a class. When it comes to taking a test like that it is about the only times I like working with groups.

Class this week

This week I only made it to computer class one day unfortunately. But the day I went we just worked on our projects that are due for before our final day. It is going to be a lot of work but worth it. I think it will teach me how to use this tools and make other things when I someday have a class of my own. I will learn to be more crafty in it. I just hope that I can do it all right and get a good grade. I did have a little part of the class that I didn't like. I asked someone about it and they were very abrupt and said its in the announcements look there and then looked away. Her tone was rude and I was like ok that was kind of rude. If the roles would of been opposite I would of tried to take the time to explain to this person what she missed. But I guess that I am just different. I am going to use this as that sometimes people will miss a day because they are sick. When I am a teacher I am going to help my students as much as I can. (Even though it was not my teacher that was rude.) I guess from now on when I need help I will just go to someone else who will be nicer about it.

kidspiration

This week for computer class we had to go in and look at the program kidspiration. I found it really interesting. I think it would be a really good tool to use for elementry kids to give them the extra help in their class subjusts.
They had many subjects the first one that I looked at was math. Because I was already thinking about math. In each subject they have a lot of different things that you can do, like addition, subraction even word problems I have always had a hard time with word problems so I thought that it was really neat. I also looked in word and science. The other one that I found intersesting was social studies you could make a map of the us they had all the states in there you just had to put them in place.
Hopefully someday I can use this when I have students and they can learn a little more than I can teach them. I think it would also be fun to get and use for my own children at home.

Our little Pumpkin

Yesterday was fun with Halloween Abigail was a pumpkin this year. She wanted to leave all night and so she was screaming all night. She also got mad every time I tried to give candy away she thought it was hers. But overall it was a good night.

Fun Birthday!!!!

Yesterday was my big 30th birthday! I guess it really isn't that big, because I don't feel much older. Mike and I went to school in the morning. I have one class that I really shouldn't miss and it was yesterday. After school we came home and a couple of hours later we went to lunch. It was really good. I think my favorite part was the bread or the fire roasted tomato soup. Mike doesn't really like tomato soup but he said it was really good. Abigail liked it too.
After that we were going to go home and rest for the day. My parents called and said they were going to take us to dinner. My dad like buffets and I hate them so we went to IHOP. I tried the BLT and it was really really good. I think I will have to get that again. We then came back to our house for cake and ice cream. Which was good. Mike gave me some dot to dot books. They are harder than the kids ones thankfully. Mike knew I really liked them and it was his mom that showed them to us to begin with. So overall it was a nice relaxing birthday.

YUCKY!!!!!!

So tonight I was sitting her working on the computer, Mike was in the other room playing x-box and Abigail took that time to go into the bathroom, pull a lid out of the garbage can and precede to take water out of the toilet and play with it slash drink it. I was in the living room and I heard her gagging I was like what is she doing? I thought she was maybe in her room, but nope not in there then I heard splashing. I was like oh no! I went into the bathroom and she had both hands in the toilet taking water out. I was like eww gross, at the same time wondering who left the bathroom door open.
I gave her a bath and tried to give her milk just in case she ingested anything bad. It now makes me wonder I am going to have another one of these? They are cute but they can sure get into things.

50 activities on Power point

This week in computer class was fun. We got into groups and had to go through our Activity book for power point. I had a really fun group that was easy to get along with. These activities are easy to do, even though they require some work. They also seem really fun and seem like a good tool that you can use for teaching. They have many different subjects the two that we used were one that you describe a character and you have to put things that they did in your life and the children get to guess who it was. The other one that we did was you are terrific that one was really fun we put everyone that was in our group and put good characteristics about them. For most of us that was the first time we really met each other, but we came up with good things. I think that this will be a really good tool to use in my future, because I think that it will be easy for me to put it together and it will be fun for the children to do it.

Abigail's poo story

The other day I was feeling very good, but that doesn't stop motherhood. Anyway I changed Abigail's poopy diaper and I didn't throw it away. Big mistake!!!! I was just sitting there and I started to smell poo. I was like what is that? I look down at her and she had ripped the dirty diaper open. Had eaten some had some on her hands and some on the floor. It was really gross. So I cleaned her up and took the diaper to the trash. She was crying because she didn't like the taste.

Math midterm

On Monday I had a midterm in my math class. I felt like I did ok, but I knew I made mistakes. Anyway he finally gave us our math test back today. He said the average was 68% and the middle score was 75% so I was kind of nervous then he said that the high score was 98 and 1/2 percent. Anyway he handed out the tests and I got the high score in the class. I was so happy. Now if I could only do that good in my science class.

Picky eater

Ever since Abigail got an ear infection she has been the pickiest eater. She used to eat almost anything that we put in front of her with no complaint, now I try to feed her and she screams and screams and screams. I finally have to give her a sandwich or fruit because those are the only two things she will really eat (except for her dads eggs). It is so hard, because I need her to gain weight but she hates eating. I just don't know what to do. I have tried giving her food off my plate she will only eat a couple of bites then give up. I leave her food on her tray and wait for her to get hungry enough but that just makes her mad. I wouldn't worry to much but she is already under weight. The last time I took her to the doctor he said she was the weight of a nine month old. And she is 15 months old. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get a stubborn 1 year old to eat?

Digital Cameras #2

So last weeks reflection was on the articles I read about digital cameras this week I have to mention ways that I will use a digital camera in my class room.
I think that their can be many ways that you can use a digital camera in your class room. Some I mentioned last week.
1- I think that you could use pictures with your students name tags. That way at the beginning of the year it would be easier for you to remember their names and if you have subs come in to know their names.
2-You can use a camera for class projects if the kids are older and you trust them with a camera this would work really well, you could teach them how to print their pictures and they could make a demonstration of it.
3- When you have a class party you can take pictures of the party and make a slide show of it and show it in class or send it to the parents of the students.
4- If you are trying to teach something you could take pictures of it and show the kids the pictures.
5- You could use it as a birthday chart so when it is one of the kids birthdays their picture will be up.
I think that digital cameras are becoming a big thing. I love my digital camera it is so nice to see the picture right after I take it and if I mess up I can take another one. I think that it will be fun to use in my classroom someday. Just so I can have the memories and the children in my class can have the memories of the year.

Is that Ethical

On the first day of Ethics class, our teacher told us some rules of what not to do in the semester. Don't get engaged in the semester or married in the semester. She promptly said she was breaking one of the rules, because she is getting married in Nov.
Anyway today a girl announced that she got engaged. We were all happy for her, even our teacher went up to look at her ring. My teacher was asking questions and finally asked, when are you getting married. The girl said Jan. 2. My teachers next question to me was not very ethical she asked. Do you have to get married? Then she said I don't. I think everyone in the class gasped at that moment. The poor girl seemed embarrassed, but said no no no.
The best part of this, is it happened in a ethics class. I would not even ask a friend if they have to get married.

Digital cameras

This week in computer class, we learned about digital cameras. I already have one and know how to use it so it was really nothing new for me. I think that they are a really neat tool. At least you don't have to buy film and have to wait for the pictures, you have them right away. You can also get pictures developed if you want. I think for my future if I use a camera for classes that I will buy an extra one for my classes. I want to teach preschool and a lot of them learn by pictures, so it will be a good way to go.
The articles that we read, the first one that I read had a lot of different ways that you can use a digital camera the one that I really liked was to have their pictures with their name tag, that way if you have a sub, they will be able to know who all the students are. I think that is a good idea, also to have their pictures with your roll. The second one that I read talked about how they did a case study and they taught kindergartners how to use a camera and download them on a computer. I thought that was so neat that these kids could do that. The last article that I read talked about what you should think about before you buy a camera like what type of pictures you are going to take and the size.
Someday I want a better camera but what I have now will be fine for my needs now.

my cute sleeper, my little helper

Abigail loves to nap. These are some of the cute poses we got.

Today Abigail was walking all over the house and it got quiet. I was like I wonder where she went I went into our bedroom and she had pulled all the clothes out of the laundry basket and was slowly putting them back in. I am so happy she is trying to help out.

She loves to clap. Especially when she thinks she did something good.

Power point

I have always enjoyed power point. I think that it is a fun tool to use. This week in class we got to play with power point, I can't wait until we can do actual projects. I tend to be a visual learner so I enjoy when my teachers use power point.
I will use it in my future as a teacher. It will be good when I am teaching and want to have pictures or need help explaining things. I think it helps kids understand it better. I think that after a class party you could also make a slide show of the party and show it to your class. A fun thing that I also would want to do is add pictures from the whole year and give the kids from my class a DVD from the year. I think it would be a fun way from them to remember the year forever.

October already

I can't believe that it is October. This year is almost over. I have always liked October, that's when it starts getting cooler, the leaves change their color and are really pretty, Halloween is this month, which I haven't dressed up for a couple of years, but now that Abigail is getting bigger I want to dress her up. But the best thing of October its my birthday YAY and a big one too. I turn 30 this year. I can't believe I have been around for that long. I don't think that I am doing much for my birthday this year. Probably just hanging out with Mike and Abigail.
School is going alright. i am just really busy and its hard to leave Abigail some days. And when she gets sick like today, I can't go to school. Abigail woke up about 11 last night with a fever. After she got up she didn't want to go back to her bed. So finally after trying a couple of times we put her playpen in our room next to the bed and had her sleep in there. The problem with that is she kept crying in her sleep and each time she did it woke me up. She also woke up at 6. I took a nap when she took one this morning and I am still really tired.

This week in class we learned about Internet safety. I think that is one of the best things you can learn. There are so many scary things on the Internet. Not only that but there are websites that can't be good.
I will want to use the safety in my classrooms so that the kids will never look at things that they are not supposed to or get into a situation that they shouldn't be in.
We also learned about how to tell if an Internet site is a good one. Basically if it has accurate information on it. There are many times when I have looked up a topic and it was not the right information.
I will use this information in my future classes, by showing the children which type of sites are good and which are not. So when they look stuff up they will not be misinformed, but know the truth.

More pictures of Abigail

It was dinner time, but Abigail had a different idea.
Yummy banana, she didn't want us to cut it up for her.
Abigail likes climbing in boxes now.

What?

UEN Reflection

UEN Reflection
I think that it will be cool to use UEN in my future. It is a good place for my classes to go and find out assignments and have a good reference place to go to. I especially liked the pioneer library, because it had a lot of things for all different ages. So they will be able to understand it better. I really like the searchasaurus. I like that it is kid friendly. This is a picture from that site of a ornate horned frog.

I also like how they have the lesson plans, it will help me plan my lessons for the future and it will be kid appropriate for the age that they are.
The core Curriculum is also nice because it has lessons separated in age group so I will be able to know everything that they need to know. I will be able to have a guideline of what I need.
I really like the virtual tours, they are really fun to watch and they will also help my students learn for their future. Another thing that I liked is that they have the Utah licensing one it. It will be more convenient for me than my students, but it is a good tool.

Google sites/Uen

This week in class we learned about google sites and UEN.
I thought it was a lot of fun to make my google site. It will come in handy someday when I have my own class. Someday when I am a teacher I am going to want to make a site that will tell stories about my class, so parents can look at it and know everything that is going on. You can also put links on it for other sources that you can use for a class.
Today we learned about the UEN site. It has a lot of information on it. What I liked most about it is that you have your private page and also a public page. So you only have to display things that your students will need to see. It has it so you can have a dictionary, calendar, and many others. It will be another good tool for parents to look at. Also there are links to archive so if your class needs to do a report on anything, they can go to the site and look it up.
Someday as a teacher I am going to have both of these things available to my class. What I like about everything that we are learning is that they all work together. They all have a place for links so it will be easier for someone to go from one place to another. That would make it easy so you wouldn't have to remember a lot of different sites.

Ethics class

Today in ethics class we had to go to a lecture on Electronics in the classroom. I agreed with some of the things that they said, but overall I think that they did a bad job. They were saying no electronics, but I think that it is fine if someone take a laptop and takes notes. I don't think you should be playing games or whatever. I also thing you should keep your phone on vibrate and not test message. The most annoying girl wasn't even talking about the classroom setting. She was talking about being outside and talking on your phone. She gave an example of how she was outside one day a a person a little bit away from her was talking on her phone and crying. She said most people ignored her. The girl who was telling us this, then said that a boy came up to her and talked to her. She was like I want to introduce that girl to a human. I was like so if you are talking on your cell phone, you aren't talking to humans. I usually talk to humans when I am on a phone. I have never talked to a cat or dog on a phone. Who knows it was just annoying.
We have to write a paper on tha lectures we go to. So I might have to mention that one.

Microsoft word and excel

This week we learned about Microsoft word. I think that it is good to know about it. You can do so many things just with word. You can make tables, documents, newletters, fliers and many other things. I can't wait to play around with it and see everything you can do. A cool thing that you can do is take pictures and put them in your document. A fun assignment we did this week, was to find pictures on the internet of our dream computer. I really enjoyed doing this exercise. I think it would be fun someday as a teacher maybe around Christmas, have the children make up a wish list or something like that. Or if it is in the Spring they could do a paper of things that remind them of spring.

I have used word before, but it has only been to write papers, I also used it when I was a primary secretary to make the roles and teachers list.

I will use it in my future as a teacher, I think it will be cool as a teacher to have weekly, biweekly, or monthly newsletters that children can take home to their parents, just showing everyone what we are doing in our class. You could even put the children's birthdays on it. If I am working with older Children, we could even do it as a class project.
This week we also did pie charts on excel. It was easier than I thought. That is one thing I like I like about excel it can figure things out like that for you. Excel can also be used for many things, you could do your finances on it, you can do charts, and if you want to you can do grades(though there have been better ways that have came out). For my future classes, I think it will just be fun to show them how to use pie charts or any type of chart.

Doctor visit

I took Abigail to the doctor today. She weighs 16 pounds at 14 months. Yes I have a skinny little girl. The doctor told me she has a double ear infection. He said her ears on a scale of 1 to 10 (ten being bad) is a 9 or a 10. No wonder she has been very cranky, and not wanting to eat. I am so happy I took her in.
I like the new doctor, he is really nice. I set up Abigail's 15 month visit today with him. It will be so nice not driving to Payson anymore. I liked my doctor in Payson, but it is just to far to go.
I hope Abigail will go to bed early tonight because I have homework to do. The homework for my computer class is almost done, then I have math. If I have time I will do my science homework.

rainy day

Today it has been rainy. Last night all I wanted to do was homework, but my next door neighbor called and needed a babysitter for her 5 kids. She said it would only be for a couple of hours so I said sure. Mainly because she is my last minute babysitter too. Anyway the kids got her right after six. I studied up until then as much as you can with a sick 14 month old little girl wanting your attention. Anyway they didn't leave until almost 10. So I didn't get the things that I wanted to get done. So I need to work on it today.
Abigail is still sick. She has gotten a bad cough now and her nose is very runny and has gunky eyes. I am taking her to a doctor today. I finally found a doctor in A.F. it is just down the street from us. I hope he can do something to help her she is not feeling good and she lets me know any chance she gets.
I found out today I didn't do good on a quiz I took. But I blame myself I don't think I studied quite enough for it. I have another quiz in that class on Friday so I am going to study a lot for it. I just need to get myself back into the school thing.

Wording things right

This week at school has been busy. I had an assignment and a quiz that was harder than it should of been. I think mainly it was because of how it was worded. If I had been studying these subjects for a long time, it would have been easier to understand. But even after talking to a lot of other classmates they had the same problem. I had studied hard for this quiz, but I still don't feel like I did a good job.
I hope that someday when I am a teacher that I will be able to word things right so all of my students will be able to understand and not have any problems with the assignments or tests. If not I hope that I will be able to help them understand after what I meant. It is something I am going to start working on now.

Abigail is sick

Abigail got sick this week. Sunday we noticed her being a cranky, way more than normal. We put her to bed and about an hour later she woke up with a fever. So we cuddled her gave her medicine and put her back to bed. Monday she had a runny nose. So we tried to stay home most of the day. It really didn't work, but that is ok. Tuesday Mike stayed home from school with her, because we didn't think we could take her to the baby sitter. Today we took her to the babysitter and she cried the whole time. I felt so bad, the babysitter didn't know if she should call or not for us to come get her. I told her that she can call whenever and we would come get her. I know school is important, but my daughter is more important. I just got her to bed for the night. I am hoping she will sleep all night.

classes yesterday

School was fun yesterday. My first class is a math class. Since I am not the best at math or taking tests, when I took the compass test I got into a low math class. But so far it is really easy. If I get an A it will be good, because then I can probably go to the college algebra class. My next class was my science class. This is going to be a hard test, but as long as I do my homework and do my review sheets I should be fine. My last class yesterday was my ethics class. There was something funny that happened in that class. We were talking about if it is moral if you are married to buy something big and not tell your spouse. This was the conversation
Teacher asking a guy: You are married right?
Guy:yes
Teacher: would it be right for you to buy a Wii and not tell your wife?
Guy: No
teacher: do you have one?
Guy Yes and my wife knows and approved.
The teacher was about to go on when another guy held his hand up.
other guy: Did you say weed?
Teacher no I said Wii
other guy: oh I was shocked that he said yes that he bought the weed and his wife knew about it.

It was really funny. This is going to be another hard class. There is a lot to do in it. I have a paper due in a couple of weeks in it. I know the topic I am going to do. I just need to start.

Starting school again

I started school again yesterday. It is so weird to be back. I know it has only been 4 years since I graduated from massage school, but I was single then and didn't have the Beautiful daughter that I do now. My classes all seem to be good. I am really excited about learning. All of my teachers are nice and funny. I am also keeping up on my homework so far. For one of my classes we need to have a learning journal on a blog. I think it is a really good idea, just so I will remember the things that happened while I am at school.
Abigail likes going to the babysitter. She has been good both days. My sister in law got Abigail to show her where her nose is, but whenever I ask her she points to her toes. Abigail is really close to walking, I can't wait until she learns how to. I think that is one of the biggest joys of motherhood is to see your child learning new things. The older they get the more fun they are because they learn more.

Ceiling update

One the positive side they finally fixed the leak. Last week we saw our landlord stop by, so far we have been calling the maintenance and they came tried to fix it. We had our landlord come in and look at it. He got right on the phone called the head maintenance guy and made him come look at it. He also told him he wanted them to fix the ceiling. So it got fixed that day. The next day the dry wall guys came. They said they thought that they could save it. So they put up a couple of two by fours in the middle of our room. They came back on Monday and said it still was not dry enough so they moved the two by fours and put more screws in the ceiling. They are coming back on Friday to see if it is dry enough to fix yet. I guess we will find out. I am having trouble up loading all the pictures so I will add more later.

Abigail's first push up

I know what you are thinking......Abigail can do push ups what????? No really it was a push up pop. Sherbet ice cream to be exact. Last Saturday night, Mike and I both really wanted cold and sweet so we walked down to the gas station and bought some. We knew that we couldn't buy us some and not Abigail. There were two choices the push-ups or a giant Popsicle. We went for the push up. Mike gave it to her on the way home. She loved it so much that if we tried to push it up, she would scream because she thought that we were going to take it away from her.
After she was done eating we had to put her in the bath with her clothes on, because it got everywhere. Luckily I got it out of her shirt, because that is one of my favorite shirts.

This is mine leave me alone
Look it came out, but the ice cream is gone.

That was good

Time to clean me up
