Planning Sharing Time

I have sharing time this week. When I looked at my lesson it said "God speaks through prophets" I thought that should be something good. I look at the lesson ideas. All it said is consider going over what was taught all month. I decided to go a different direction.

Next week is general conference. Which we get to hear the Current prophet speak. So I decided that we would play a matching game. I have printed the pictures of the first presidency and the quorum of the 12 apostles. I then wrote their names on separate sheets of paper. I am going to have them match the name with the picture. I am considering separating the first name and the last name for the senior primary

I also made a word search for them to do. I looked up in the last conference ensign for some words that they used. I made the one for the junior primary really easy. The one for the senior primary is a little harder.

Last night though I had a nightmare about it. I thought that I forgot most of the stuff for it. All I had was some pictures and that's it. Also people kept coming in and interrupting the lesson. They would tell me I was doing a bad job. I guess I will just have to make sure I have all my stuff before I go to church on Sunday.

Sick

A couple of nights ago I think it was Tuesday night, Abigail woke up about 4 or 5 times screaming. We finally put her in our bed and let her sleep in there. The next day she had a fever most of the day and was congested. Her nose has also been runny and she keeps saying her head hurts.

Mike came home from work last night feeling sick. But we need the money so he went to work today.

Brooklyn woke up this morning with a snotty nose. And has been really cranky and clingy. She still has no fever.

I had an ear ache the past week. And now I am starting to get congested. I guess we know what we are doing this weekend. It will be fun to stay home and be lazy.

9 month appointment

I took Brooklyn to her 9 month appointment today. Since her last appointment she has lost weight. Well didn't gain enough. She is 17 pounds. The Dr said it is because she is active, and not getting enough nutrition from me nursing her. So I have to ween her. He said I could start her on dairy food. But just to give her a little at first to make sure she isn't allergic.

I am going to miss nursing for the most part. But she has 6 teeth now and she likes to bite, so in a way it is a good thing. She likes the sippy cup, but hates the bottle so he said just to give her the sippy cup. I can't believe how big she is getting. She is crawling everywhere. She pulls up on the furniture and walks around it. She likes to get into the blinds. She eats solids 3 times a day and snacks on crackers. I love having her in our family.

The dog goes woof woof

It was a really nice day today. So I decided to take the girls on a walk. They love walk time. In fact they are trying to get out the door before I am even ready. Where I walk a lot of people have dogs. Sometimes we see them other times we don't. Today we walked by a house, where the dog was outside. I know the owners of the dog and if they are around the dog is really nice.

Today as we walked by the dog came up to us. Luckily there was a fence separating us. At first he kind of just looked at us. But then he started to bark. Abigail just looked at him. Pointed to him and while staring at him said dog go Woof Woof Dog go Woof woof. She continued to glare at him until we passed the house. I am so happy she is not scared of dogs.

I on the other hand have a fear of dogs. But I think it was because I was attacked by one when I was in 3rd grade. Ever since then I really don't like dogs.

Cute Girls

The other day Brooklyn wanted to sit on our couch. Which of course meant that Abigail had too. I loved that they looked at a book together. It is so much fun to see them get along so well. They have only had one fight so far. When I stopped it Abigail told me "take baby away" I told her she has to share. So they both left the toy they were fighting over.

Washing machine

Earlier today I did a load of laundry. When I went to move the clothes to the dryer, I noticed they were wetter than normal. And not just a little wetter but a lot. As I was taking them out to put in the dryer water was going everywhere. A sweater felt like it weighed at least 20 pounds.

When I got all the clothes out there was a puddle of water at the bottom of the washer inside. I don't know if that is a bad sign. Mike said to run the washer again with a towel or something and see if it works. The funniest part is when I put the clothes in the dryer it said it was going to take 99 minutes to dry.

Fun Weekend

I had a busy weekend. Saturday I went to our stake baptism's. Our ward was conducting, plus we had two kids being baptized. It was fun to go. I haven't been to a baptism since my nephew got baptized and he is now 11. After that I came home and had lunch with Mike. I had been waiting for a phone call from one of my friends for a few days and she finally called back. We made plans for them to come that night.

After lunch Abigail and I went to the grocery store, while Brooklyn napped and Mike showered. We just hung out the rest of the afternoon. That night my friend came over. I have not seen her since my baby shower when I pregnant with Abigail. She has since got married and is now pregnant. She just found out on Friday she was having twins. So I was thinking she would be big. But no she is barely showing. She said that just last month she started to show. She is 20 weeks along. She is still not in maternity clothes either.

It was fun to hang out with them. I love finding couples where it is fun to hangout with them. We just ate and talked.

Sunday I had sharing time. I think it went ok. I always get so nervous and sometimes I get tongue tied. My topic is Prophets are called by God. I love doing sharing time. I feel like I learn more all the time from them. And kids are so smart. We just hung out as a family last night. Mike made dinner. A made up chicken dish it was good.
