taking it easy

Venting Post

So I have decided that I hate taking it easy. I have so much I want to do. Like take Abigail on walks. We were going on walks after dinner. It was only around the block, but it was still good to get out. Another thing I will miss is going to church. We decided it would be best that I stay home. I like going to church, I have always been pretty much active. Except for when we first got married and didn't like our ward. But that is a different story.

Yesterday I decided to test my limits. We had a primary activity the goal was to let me stay down. But after we were done making cookies. I got up and hung out for a little bit and went and had a Popsicle. After we came home and I rested. Then Mike and I went and got a few things from the store. We got a few things for the baby and Abigail's birthday present. Once again when we got home I rested.

We wanted to play rook last night, so we called Mike's brother who we love to play rook with. My sister-in-law was on bed rest so we went down there. After playing rook my feet were very swollen and I started to get a headache and was having contractions. Just for sitting up. I wasn't frustrated with the game or anything. Mike and I actually ended up winning and I had 1 good hand. I usually don't have any.

Mike and I left and I had swollen feet all night. It has gotten to the point that they always hurt. They feel bruised and hurt to the touch, even sometime when I walk it hurts. I really hope I can be induced early. That way it will all go away.

Only high blood pressure

So I took the 24 hour urine test. It came out good. I also got monitored, when I got there I had high blood pressure. It went down as I laid there and rested. So who knows what is going to happen.

I took off bed rest and now I have to take it easy. Which basically mean lay down as much as I can. But I can still do things,, like take care of my own little girl at home. Which I was already doing.

I have another Dr. appointment on Thursday and will find out what is happening. I think it sucks that even moving around raises my blood pressure. A big part of me still hopes to deliver early, but we will see what happens. At least I can get things ready for her to come.

I hate being on the fence of it can go either way. I was the same way with Abigail.

Dr. appointment

Since I last went to my last Dr appointment, my feet have been swelling up and have not gone down. I can feel my heart beating. I have also been really tired. I have pains in my Abs.

Anyway I go to Dr today and I had high blood pressure, my pulse was 120 beat per minute. They said there was a little protein in the sample I gave. My feet was really swollen.

So I am now on bed rest, I get to take the 24 hour urine test. I have to go be monitored at the hospital 2 times a week. The Dr said he wants me to make it to 37 weeks. Which is in two weeks.

Luckily we are being released from our calling this Sunday.

now thats a good gas bill

So I went and got our mail today. I bunch of ads and our gas bill. It is getting warmer so I didn't think it would be that bad. I opened it and looked to where it said you owe such amount. Our bill is for $1.29. They had some type of rebate this month and that's what we are paying. It is a good bill. If only all bills could be that much.

Fun weekend

We had a fun weekend this week. On Friday we woke up, and went to Delta. Its a long drive, but Abigail stayed happy the whole way down and that was without napping. Abigail adjusted really fast this time at grandma and grandpas house. Sometimes she has a hard time and cries and won't let Mike or me go. Mike's sister was down with her dog Jenni. Abigail loves dogs. So she was playing with the dog. We played rock band 2 and hung out of Friday trying to come up with fun things to do.

Abigail liked Mike's sister right away. It was a surprise to me, because usually she doesn't like new people. She was even sitting on her lap and everything.

Friday night we went and saw Star Trek. This is a movie that Mike really wanted to see and I was not wanting to see it. But everyone else went so I decided to. I wasn't bored through it and thought it was good. I was just wishing that I would of been comfortable. The seats in the theater are really old, so I was having a hard time plus it was really hot. After we got home we had a fire and roasted marshmallows. We got to bed after one.

The next morning I woke up about 6:30 with another leg cramp. Which woke Mike up because I said ow and it woke Abigail up. Abigail was then up and done with the room. So Mike took her upstairs to feed her. I got up a little bit later. Saturday morning was kind of boring. Mike mowed his parents lawn. It needed done and so he did it. I took Abigail outside to play at this time. She just played around and then she decided it was time for a walk and started to walk down the sidewalk. We walked around the block.

That afternoon Mike, his brother and I went off roading. I know I am 8 month pregnant and shouldn't be doing that kind of thing. But it was a very calm off roading trip not to many hills. The best part was when we almost ran into a campsite so Mike was backing up and ran into a tree. After we got home we went and got snow cones. I have decided I love flavored ice it was so good.

That night we had hot dogs and chips and cherry cobbler we sat around talking outside for awhile in the shade it was nice. Mike and his brother then played rock band and I packed our bags and got Abigail ready to go home. I think the drive home was the longest part of the weekend only because we were tired.

When I got home my feet looked like this:
Non sprained foot
Sprained foot

They do not look like my feet and or legs.
We had to teach Primary on Sunday. Once again we only had two students. For part of the lesson. We had to act out things. The two boys thought when you act things out you don't talk at all. Mike and I told them that you can talk. Sharing time was good, they gave us a paper for the primary activity that will be in a couple of week. We are probably going to make cookies for someone. Mike will go to the church to get our class, while I sit at home and prepare everything to make the cookies.
Abigail's church dress. Please excuse the chocolate on her lips.
On other news, we are getting a new used couch. Someone Mike works with knows of someone giving their couches away. We needed a new one so we are taking them up on it. It kind of scares me because I have no idea what they look like. But I hope it will work. I cleaned our living room to make room for them. I also moved our old couch. Which made Mike tell me that is something I should do while pregnant. But I couldn't have people move my old couch and find a mess under it.

YAY!!!!

Our tomatoes are starting to grow. We didn't expect anything and today I went out to check on them and there is a little bit of a plant coming up. I was so excited. I hope that they keep progressing. I love fresh tomatoes.

I had a Dr. appointment today. 7 weeks left. Everything looked good, except my pulse was fast. So fast the Dr. decided to have them take my blood to check for thyroid problems. I don't know the results yet. I think if there is a problem they will call. So I am hoping for no call.

We are planning on setting up an induction date, but the week before my due date my Dr. will be out of town so it will most likely be on the 30th of June which is 2 days before my due date. Who knows maybe I will go into labor before then.

We are going to Delta this weekend to see Mike's parents, his sister is also down from Idaho. We were going to go camping, but the plans got changed. We are coming back on Saturday, because we have to teach primary and also our home teachers are coming on Sunday. We are going to be released in the next couple of weeks so we wanted to be there.

I picked you because.......

you were close.

When we moved to American Fork, I decided to change Doctors it didn't make sense to drive all the way to Payson. Anyway I found a doctor for Abigail that his office was just down the street. That way if Mike had the car, I could walk there with no problems.

This week the Dr. changed where his office was. It is now close to the hospital, with all the other Doctors. Oh well I guess. They had an open house today and we went. It is a nice office. I really like the Dr. so we are going to continue using him. Its just going to be hard when Mike starts with school again. With his schedule he will basically be gone from 9 in the morning until 8:30 at night. But we will make things work.

5/07/2009

we fixed the problem

We thought for awhile what we could do with Abigail taking clothes out of the dresser. We put her clothes in her toy chest and her toys in her dresser. Its a little tighter area for the clothes, but it is better than them going all over the floor.

While I was making the switch, I had to close Abigail's bedroom door so she wouldn't get into everything. I just hope that it works.

Should I be concerned?

Today I have been feeling like something is sitting on top of my chest making it so I have a harder time breathing. Then tonight we went with Mike's brother and wife to dinner. As soon as I finished eating I got really uncomfortable, which isn't abnormal. But then I started getting really hot and felt like I was going to pass out. I was dizzy and I just wanted to lay down. Mike said that I was really pale. I was sweating.

We went out to the car while his brother finished his dessert. As we were driving, the same feeling came over me again. I actually was blacking out in the car. Then I had a contraction. I have been dizzy ever since and a head ache while I lay down. I am also having a hard time breathing still. My back and shoulders feel really tight and sore too.

I have ate today and drank lots of liquids. We are waiting to see how I feel in the morning, if I still really bad we will call the Dr. I don't have another appointment for a week.

On a sad note Abigail feel twice outside today. The first time it was in a parking lot and she got a cut on her forehead. The second time was when we got home, she tripped on the sidewalk. Poor little girl.

5/04/2009

what to do????

I need a little time to vent. We are letting Abigail pick out her own clothes, so her dresser drawers are on the bottom. Problem is, she pulls clothes out all the time. Spreads them all over her room, and then won't put them away. We have tried time out and we make her clean it up. We also tell her big girls, keep their clothes put away. But she keeps doing it. I am just getting so tired of it. I know she is only 22 months old, but I want her to learn to not make a mess like that.

I just don't know what else to do.

tomatoes

I love love love fresh tomatoes off the vine. But we have never planted any. Last year my neighbor did. She planted it in the dirt in front of our apartment. I thought that was a good idea, but we didn't have the money. Its a good thing I didn't anyway, because the neighborhood girls came and picked all the tomatoes before they were ripe. I would of been upset and made their parents pay for it.

Anyway, the lady who planted the tomatoes last year moved and left two bags of gardening soil, and pots. While Mike and I was at the store, we bought some tomato seeds. They were only about a dollar for each packet. We planted them in the pots. We hope they will grow but if not it is fine. We would of just wasted a couple of dollars.

Now if I can just remember to water them everyday.
