Happy Birthday Ezra

I can't believe my baby is one. Here are a few pictures of him since my last blog. Boy am I a slacker. Hopefully I will have more posts sooner than later.
He is usually a happy boy.

He found my box of pears and decided he needed to eat one.
Showing me how he can stand up.
 He does cry sometimes.

He really has a cute personality

He got one bottom tooth and one top one first then the others grew in was so cute.

He loves his dad. As soon as Mike gets home Ezra will go up to him and follow him around.
This is how the boys did temple square. At least he got a nap I guess.
He loves the fan at Grandma's house. He played with it for a half hour.

Just call me slacker

I have been such a slacker lately. Summer was busy and fun and now Abigail has been back to school for a week now. Brooklyn is starting kindergarten tomorrow. Ezra is growing like a weed. He is crawling everywhere and is already pulling up on furniture. Xavier is getting big too, he wants to go to preschool, but it isn't happening this year. I am going to do a joy school for him with my neighbor. Mike and I are also good, just the same old stuff as always. Here are some pictures.
They are out of order but that is okay

Abigail on the first day of school. I said smile and this is what I got.

Xavier and Ezra waiting for the school bus.

 My very happy boy.

One of his favorite places to crawl
I was in the kitchen cooking dinner when I heard him whining. I come in and he had a net on his head.
 Playing with his sisters ponies.
 Helping me fold laundry.
He fell in the street. After I said not play in it.
 Hiking with family.
First time in shopping cart he was chill the whole time.

Brooklyn's new glasses

Brooklyn was sick all last week. She took many naps.
At the res in Delta he loved the water and the sand.

Before and after her tooth fell out

Tasting Popsicle for first time he loved it.
Brooklyn got her ears pierced for her birthday
 Abigail doing chores
 Cuddling under blankets

Lately

It has been about a year since I really wrote and more than just about Ezra's birth. I also just posted pictures so if you want to skip over this post and go to that.

Mike is still working at Aribex. He has been working overtime again, so he is gone a lot. I feel better with it this time then last time. At least I am not pregnant now, and it is also starting to get warmer outside. He will also cook dinner on the weekends since I cook all week. Ezra is starting to like him more and won't scream the whole time I am gone now.

I am doing good, I healed from the c-section really well. I had a neighbor that thought it would take me longer. Now I am just trying to lose weight. I have been making freezer meals with some of my friends. I am also working on my kids Christmas stockings that I am cross stitching at first I thought I would get it all done in a year now, I am thinking it will take a couple of years. So I am going to make Ezra's next.

Abigail has a couple of more months in first grade. She is loving first grade, she only plays with boys there too. She claims one of them is her boyfriend. Last year she had a boy that liked her too, and would give her flowers everyday on the bus. I must have a cute girl. She needed extra help with her reading this year. So she is in a reading recovery program. She has learned a lot since she has started the program. If I am reading something she will come up and start reading it.

Brooklyn has been in preschool all year. At our elementary school they have a high risk program that kids can test into. I took Brooklyn and she tested into it. She has learned so much this year. Though she is still behind in some things. Brooklyn loves to be outside. She will get home from school at 12 she comes in to eat and then she is outside playing until Mike comes home. She has a few neighborhood friends that she runs around with. I just tell her as long as I can see her from any of our windows she can be out there.

Xavier is growing up so fast. He talks so much, which is nice because he can tell me what he wants. Whenever I tell him we are going somewhere he will either say YAY! or I don't want to. Sometimes the I don't want to means he needs to throw himself to the floor and scream. We are trying to deal with the 3 year old tantrums. I usually tell him to stop or he gets to go to bed early. After a few times of going to bed early he stops for me now. He is still not potty trained, I am going to get Ezra on a good schedule and then do it.

Ezra is growing so fast. He is over 12 pounds and 24 inches long. He loves to smile and make the normal baby noises. He also will tract people with his eyes it surprised his doctor at his two month check up. Sometimes when I lay him on his tummy he will roll over to his back. It shocked me at first because I didn't think they did it that early. He is sleeping a stretch of 7 hours a night. He also loves going to bed about 8. It is sad seeing how fast my last baby is growing.

recent pictures

Here are some recent pictures of my kids. They are growing so fast.

One of my favorite pictures of him

My big helper, whenever I cook he is in there trying to help.
Xavier had a bloody nose in the middle of the night. He was mad about it and wouldn't eat until I cleaned him up.
I went shopping with a friend and poor Ezra had to have all the food on him.
He is such a happy boy.
Abigail and Brooklyn adore Ezra. They are always giving him hugs and kisses.
 This is how Xavier relaxes.
One last picture of Ezra.

Long time..had a baby

I haven't written a post forever. I will try to get better. But this one is going to be all about Ezra's birth story and the long days following at the hospital. My blood pressure was slowly going up and since Mike and I are done having kids we decided to go with a repeat c-section and get my tubes tied. We went in Monday morning about 6:15. I really didn't sleep the night before. We got there, they gave me an iv and got everything set up in the computer. They said it would be a few hours because they were already doing one. But they finished with the first one quick. About 7:30 they took me back to the room to give me the spinal tap and get me ready for surgery. I was freezing cold. But it went quickly and easily. Soon the doctor came in and they finally let Mike in. He said it was a long 20 minutes of waiting. I really couldn't feel anything other than the touch. Ezra didn't want to come out the doctor had to grab him a few times and he would twist to go back in. They finally got him out and I was just waiting for the first cry. I finally heard it, he has a healthy set of lungs. I got to see him for a little bit before he headed to nursery. He was grunting a lot so they had to give him tests to make sure he was okay. In the meantime, my doctor tied my tubes and stitched me up. I just laid their holding back tears and tried to not throw up. They finally took me back to my room. They had to do vitals and they said that I was so cold that they had to add a heater to my bed. I wanted to sleep, but I also wanted to see my boy. After an hour we headed down to the recovery floor. As I was getting checked in down there my husband got to go see Ezra get his first bath. He of course didn't take pictures. I waited for another hour to even get to see Ezra.

When they first brought him to me I thought that he was so tiny. He was also so beautiful to me

I think this is the hardest recovery that I have ever had with all 4 of my kids. The first day I got really hot and felt like I was going to pass out. They took my bp it was low and my heart rate was really fast. They had me lay with my feet up for awhile. I was also very cold to the touch the whole day and couldn't stay awake. That night I started getting really weird cramps that would go from my right shoulder down to my stomach. They would make me curl up into a ball. The nurse kept giving me more pain medicine to get rid of them. They finally went away about 4 in the morning. Though the stomach cramps stayed the whole next day. While all this pain was going on the decided to take my blood count it came back low enough that they decided to do a blood transfusion. After the first transfusion they took my blood again and it was still low. So they decided to give me another one. It went up a little, but doctor decided to keep me an extra day and was put on iron pills. Wednesday I finally convinced the nurses that I really needed to shower. I was lucky enough to take one with the nurse in the room with me. But at least I got one. Just sitting up made me really dizzy and not feeling good. Luckily my husband was home with other kids so I could sleep as much as possible.
Ezra came in one morning clinging on his pacifier. It was so cute. Tuesday they took Ezra to get some testing and it came back that he was at a med. level for Jaundice they took it Thursday morning and he was a lot higher. So I had to supplement and he had to go under the bili lights for the day. Luckily that worked and my milk finally came in at the same time. He came to my room only to nurse on Thursday it was a long day. Friday Morning I finally got to come home. I was so excited. I fed him and then I ate. I got us ready to go before my husband got there to pick me up. It was so nice to get out of the hospital.
He has been a joy to have home his brother and sisters love it. So far he has peed on us 3 times. But he is overall doing good other than not wanting to sleep at night. I am doing okay other than lack of sleep and in pain once in awhile. This morning was first stressful we had to get kids to school. Ezra had kept me up until 4 and about 7:45 I woke up and kids had to be on bus by 8:35 I had not had a pain pill since 10:30 night before so I had a hard time even moving. But luckily my husband was home to help.

update on me.

By April my body got back to normal. I had a normal cycle. Well I ended up getting pregnant again. Yay! 5.3 days today. Got a positive even before my missed period. My first hcg level was 30 two days later was 132. Weird thing was I kept getting weird cramps that would go from one side to the other. Mike thought for sure it was twins. This morning I woke up at 5 in a lot of pain. Through out the day pain was not going away. Called my obgyn to tell them and also ask about my blood work I got done yesterday. My hcg level was 7000, and they had me come in and have an ultrasound. During ultrasound we saw a sac and fetal pole line. I measured one day ahead. Then he looked on other side I had a cyst. The nurse who called me later said it was 3 cm. My doctor is not in his office tomorrow, so I will find out Thursday what the plan is. Until then I get to take it easy and take tylonal and use a heating pad. I love my body when it is pregnant.

missing book

Last week Abigail came home from school with no reading book. She told me they didn't give her one. As the week went on she never brought one home, she told me that her teacher said they were done with reading. Friday I went on a walk with my friend who also has a kindergartener she said they are still getting books. So I emailed her teacher. Found out that Abigail lost it, so she had to pay for it. But today she was to nervous to give her teacher the money, so I had to email her again and asked her if she could ask for it.

It has been a long time

It has been a long time since I last wrote. I just haven't been up to it or busy. I am just going to give an update on everyone.

Xavier is growing so much. He talks a lot more now too. It is so cute. He will yell, mommy mommy and when I say what he will say I love you and then smile really big. He likes to play our tablet and is really good at puzzles, he matches the pieces on the first try. We moved him into his own room, because he would get the girls up at night and then they would get him up in the morning. He really loves his cars and then chooses to carry them around in a purse or a pink shopping cart. He will also play princesses with his sisters. He has not liked nursery this year, I don't think it helps that we have 1:00 church, so I usually bring him home after we try nursery and have him scream for a bit. He loves going outside unless it gets windy or a little cold.

Brooklyn is still getting better at talking. She has learned to play computer by herself and will find kids games. I am looking into getting her into a preschool next year. I saw one yesterday and with a discount it was $90 a month, I was like no way am I paying that much a month. She has learned how to pedal a bike this year, I am hoping to try to get training wheels off. I am not going to push it though. She is loving being in sunbeams, she loves her teachers a lot and gives them hugs every time she see them. She still has a strange guy phobia, there are certain men she will see and she will just start crying.

Abigail is in her last two month of kindergarten. She is getting really good at reading. She has sight words that she knows most of them. Yesterday she brought some new ones home. One was the word but, she told me that it was a bad word. I had to tell her that there are words that sound the same but are spelt different. She is also getting good at math and stuff. It is so fun to see her learn. She loves riding her scooter around but not a bike. She fell last year and will not get back up now. She is a big helper and can usually tell what her siblings are saying.

Mike is good, he is just working full time at his job. He loves it still and I love the fact he has every other day off. He has 2 callings now and we hope he will be released as the choir director soon.

As for me, I have been struggling if I should write this. But I have been told I have a story. Might be tmi so stop reading if you want. Since my miscarriage my cycles have been screwed up. I thought I might have been pregnant again in March, but the feelings went away and I started to cramp and spot. I was taking progesterone at the time. So I called my doctor, they gave me an ultrasound and took my blood. They called and said the hcg level was a 3 so that meant negative. They told me to stop with the progesterone and just let my period came. Which it did on day 26 of that cycle. I had to go a week later for blood work, I was on cycle day 6 so when I didn't hear anything for a few days I thought all was well and the hcg levels went away. I got a call the following week saying that the hcg levels went to a 10 this was after my period. I was so confused. So I took a pregnancy test it came out positive, I even showed my friend to see if she could see it. They wanted me to come in that week for more blood work. I went in and I heard the next day it went up to a 44 which they didn't consider a pregnancy since it didn't go up enough. So I just had to take progesterone and come in the following week for blood work again. I went in last week and they called me the next day to say the levels started to drop and that I needed to stop with the progesterone and come for blood work until I got down to a zero. And I am not even aloud to try to get pregnant again until the doctor gives me a thumbs up to move on. Luckily this was Thursday and it was conference weekend, Because on cycle day 23 I got my period again. It has been a hard couple of months. I wish my body would just work. In May it will be a year since we first started to try. I am going to have a party to celebrate it in a way, probably eat my weight in chocolate. I sometimes have a hard time being around pregnant people, but only when they complain about it or tell me that my time will come.  Not even going to write the worse thing that was said to me.

Sorry to vent everything else is good with me. This week I got some strawberries and made Jam with them I got 8 pounds for $5. not too shabby. I have been working out a lot and the past year have lost 20 pounds, and a few inches around the waist. I am grateful for the somewhat warmer weather and that I can go on walks again. We did get a second car so I always have a car, but if it is nice I still walk to places like the store and whatever. I am blessed with the three wonderful children I already have. Mike and I have found ways to save money like with our phones and cable. Over all things are good.

some day

Some day I will feel better. I had my miscarriage last week. Started Monday night, ended Friday. But I still had cramps, back pain and worst of all headaches and dizzyness. Thought I would be better after weekend or everything would start again.
Tuesday called my doctor told them what was going on. They did an ultrasound everything but some liquid was gone. They took my blood and we went home. Today I got a call and was told that I had an infection. So now I have to take medicine and hope it passes. I will go see the doctor in two weeks, to make sure all is good. Then we will try again.
I miss doing things like working out and cleaning. I tried to clean today and I got dizzy fast. My place is not as clean as I like it. But I am trying to do more.

Just a bump in the road

A couple of months ago when Xavier fell out the window. I had a feeling it was not time for him to be gone, but you will know the feeling of death soon. Even though I was only 5-6 weeks pregnant, I feel like I knew this little fetus even if it was just a short amount of time.

Being pregnant, I was surprised to find out I was pregnant. We have been trying for 7 months with no success. I cramped for two weeks before I found out I was pregnant. I only took a test to prove to my body I wasn't pregnant. Boy was I wrong.
The same day I found out, I also got really sick with what I thought was a bad cold. I was wrong it was influenza. After I started feeling better with that was when the cramps started.
The next week was a blur of blood draws, ultrasounds and taking it easy. The doctor even had me take progesterone that made me very sick. But Friday we knew it was not going to work out. I stopped taking the progesterone and just waited.
Saturday we celebrated Xavier's 2nd birthday. I tried to be happy, for our guests, but who knows how well I did. Sunday was full of cramps, but still no bleeding. Monday the doctor office called I told them still no bleeding so we set up a doctor appointment. Last night I started to bleed more with clots. Then it stopped. As I sat here today it started somewhat again today, so the doctor office told me not to come in because it is starting.
I am sad, but at peace about it. I know we will have another baby someday. It is just a bump in the road for us. Not all this month has been bad. Good things with Mike's work. Kids have been healthy. I have also got away with no cleaning so far this month. I just think this will just make me stronger like most things. I just need to take the time to heal. I know somedays will be harder than others. But the Lord is on my side and so is my husband.
