I never thought an almost two year old could be so whiny. Mike and I are trying to teach Abigail how to use her words, but she thinks she needs to whine. I try to ignore her when she is whining or I tell her please use your words. She knows them she just sometimes doesn't use them. It is just getting on my nerves I try to be patient, but she throws tantrums if I don't help her when she whines, which usually gets the baby screaming too.
Another thing that she does is when she drinks chocolate milk she tends to spit it out. It gets all over her clothes and all over the floor. She doesn't do it with any other drink just the milk. I have started to take it away when I see her do it.
She really is a good kid I just get frustrated at times with her little things she does.

I am happy!!!!!
So I decided after having the baby that every week I would try on my pre-pregnancy pants. So this morning after my shower. I tried a pair on and to my surprise they fit. Yeah they are a little tighter than before I got pregnant, but at least they fit. I no longer have to deal with the maternity pants, they were to big on me and always feeling like they were going to fall off.
Also what makes me happy today is Brooklyn slept well last night. I could feed her and put her back to bed. Which she really hasn't done yet. The night before she was up from 2 until 5:30. Which I was up with her all but the last half hour. Needless to say I needed a nap yesterday and didn't feel like getting anything done. I hope she keeps this sleeping pattern up.
Abigail is also getting really used to the baby being around. She is giving her kisses all the time calls her sister. We are still working on getting her to say Brooklyn. She also tries to play with her. She will grab Brooklyn's hands and sing primary songs. Which Brooklyn hates her hand being moved.
It is just a good day!

Brooklyn's two week check up
I took Brooklyn to her two week Dr. appointment today. She has gained weight back she is now 7 pounds 8 ounces. She is 20 inches tall now. She looks healthy and sounds healthy. They said I was doing a good job feeding her.
She is at least on the scale of what a baby should be. Abigail was always under the scale.

Birthday dinner
Yesterday we went to my parents house for dinner. To celebrate any birthdays that are in the summer which is 5 people now. Still not as much as January. Anyway, Abigail is one who has a birthday in the summer. When it was time for gifts, she was playing with other toys and someone had to carry her over to us. We gave her the bags and she pulled out the few toys people had given her. She was so excited about them.
But then my little nephew, who is about 6 months younger than Abigail, started taking her toys and screamed at Abigail when she tried to take them back. Abigail then in turn became very possessive of her new toys. She didn't even want Mike or I to pick them up. We were just trying to help her.
Mike finally asked her if she wanted her toys in the car. By then she was screaming her head off and she agreed. They took them out and she came back in. She was in a much better mood. We have never seen her act that way towards her toys before. Maybe it is the age.

Update
We took Brooklyn in again today to get her bilirubin tested. The numbers are finally going down. She is eating well. She eats about every two hours. I am struggling with getting her to sleep in her bed at night. She would much rather sleep in bed with Mike and me. Which I am bad and sometimes let her. But that is after a couple of hours of struggling with her.
Abigail is adjusting well for the most part. She like any 2 year old has her temper tantrums. She likes to help with the baby and even gives her toys to play with. Brooklyn kind of just stares at her.
I am feeling great. I cleaned our kitchen today, which it badly needed. I am ready to get on with my life. I just have one question when is it to soon to go back to church? I haven't gone for quite awhile now and I am ready to go. I know some people don't go for months while others are back in a week or two. I guess it is every one's personal choice.

I am a worry wort
I have decided that I am a worry wort with Brooklyn. Her bilirubin tests keep going up. I don't know why. I am nursing. But every time I do she has a bowel movement. She has also thrown up a few times. Today though she has seemed like she doesn't want to nurse very much. It like I have to force her to eat. She also seems to be not wanting to sleep and seems to be more yellow. I am so worried that I am not giving her what she needs.
Luckily her Dr. will be in tomorrow. So when I take her in to be checked again at least I can talk to him. I am so worried that she might have to be a bottle fed baby. Which I really don't want. So I am just really worried. Maybe I shouldn't.

We took Brooklyn to go get her blood taken again today. Her Billi Rubin count went up again. She still is not under lights again. We just need to take her again in the morning. I think the problem is, that she was throwing up last night and had a bowel movement after I fed her every time. She also was up most of the night again. I saw every hour on the clock last night. With the exception of 5 AM which was the time Mike got up with her. I told him, I needed at least an hour of sleep. Today I have dark circles around my eyes.
We have been trying to wake her up every couple of hours today which I feed her and try to keep her awake. We got her up about 12:30 and finally put her back down about 2:30 or 3. In which time she was awake and looking around. We also gave her a bath.
Abigail is getting more used to her sister. She finally gave her a kiss today. Before she just pointed to her. Abigail will ask where Brooklyn is when she is napping. She also tries to help me with the diaper changes. I think she is used to the fact she isn't only kid her still. Abigail has always adjusted well to changes. That's one thing I love about her.

Brooklyn jaundice update
We had Brooklyn under the lights all day yesterday and most of the night. Not all the night because someone didn't think that she had to sleep. Mike and I both took turns taking care of her. Finally about 5 in the morning Mike decided just to swaddle her and put her under the lights and she finally slept.
We took her into the hospital today to get her blood drawn. Which she was pretty good cried at first then calmed down. Abigail was the bad one she was trying to get into everything. I picked her up which she thought she was in trouble and she quickly tried to get to Mike.
I waited forever to hear the results. I finally called them and left a message with the nurse. I waited then for another hour until they called. They said that things look better. I can take her off the lights at 9 tonight. We need to take her in the hospital again to get more blood drawn if things are still better then no more lights for her.
I am happy. On another good note, my milk finally came in. So I don't have to supplement anymore. Not that she was having a lot of formula. She only had it after I nursed first so it was always maybe a few milliliters.
Today has been a easy day. Mike took Abigail down to Delta with him. He built his dad a computer and he wanted to set it up. Abigail has been having fun playing with grandma and her aunt. Brooklyn has been good.

Birth story and coming home
Mike and I woke up early on Monday and waited for a phone call from the hospital. We even had a baby sitter over, so if we got called we could go. About 11:30 we finally got a call. Abigail was napping at the time. I didn't want to leave without giving her kisses. Which woke her, but she ended up being good for Mike's mom.
We had to be at the hospital by 12:30 we got there and they took us straight to the room. Which according to Mike kicked A. It was a corner room. Had windows on two walls. We had a good view. I changed right when I got there and had to wait for the nurse. When she came in we noticed she was pregnant also and due a couple of days after my original due date.
She took my vitals, and started the monitoring. She then started my IV she got it in the first time. She then checked my cervix I was a 1 and high and my cervix was not soft. Basically my body wasn't ready to have a baby. I knew that it was going to be a long night.
I decided that I was going to try to hold up as long as I could without the epidural. But by about 6:30 I would hurt bad every time that I had a contraction. So I asked for the epidural. I am not a big fan of needles at all. But I know that you have to sit still when you have one. Mike was nice enough to come and hold my hand. I just closed my eyes and breathed through the placing of the epidural.
After I got the epidural the nurse checked me, I was only at a 2. I was like well that sucks. But then I remembered when I had Abigail I went from a 2 to a 10 in about 2 hours. So I thought that there was some hope. A couple of hours later, my Dr. came in to break my water. He also checked my cervix. I was still a 2, that is when it hit me that it was going to be a long night. They decided to watch me for a bit to see what happened.
An hour later my contractions seemed to have gone down. The machine wasn't picking them up. So they had to put a special ca pater in me, that checks your contractions. They picked them up well, but I was still at a 2. They turned up the pitosin. This is when I started to worry that I would have a c-section.
Awhile later the nurse came and checked on me I was feeling pain, so I was like I have to be getting closer. I was a little I was a 3 and a half to a four. I was starting to get annoyed. So I just kept trying to relax and tried to sleep and hope I would dilate more. It was hard to sleep though with the blood pressure machine going off every half hour.
A little before 5 the nurse came in again. She checked me and said I was at a seven and a half. She then decided to get ready for the baby to come. I woke up Mike and told him that we were close. Within that 10 to 15 minutes she checked me again and sure enough I was at a ten. I just laid there and relaxed for a little bit and waited for the Dr. to come. The nurse got everything ready and the Dr. was still not there. She left room and came back with him.
It was then about 5:30 in the morning. I just laid there and pushed when they said to push. She was born at 5:41 I thought it was later, but the paper work said it was that time. She was good when born she had a little bit of congestion, but everything looked good.
The hospital stay was long. I finally got released today at nine. Brooklyn was released later. Last night they gave her the biliruben test. This morning about 7 the nurse came in and told me that the baby had lost a lot of weight about 9% of her birthrate and also she was at high risk of getting jaundice. 95% to be exact. I fed her while she went to call the Dr. I called Mike and told him to come right away. I was kind of upset not knowing what was going on for sure.
Mike came while I was feeding the baby and about the time I got breakfast. I am supposed to supplement with formula until my milk comes in. So Mike fed Brooklyn a bottle and I shared my breakfast with Abigail. As soon as Brooklyn was done eating the nurse took her to go get under the Bili lights. We just sat there and waited for the Dr. to come. I was tired and worried about my little girl. Abigail by then was getting antsy she was tired of me being in the hospital.
The Dr. finally came in he said she was looking good we just had to keep her under the light and I had to nurse her then she had to have a bottle until my milk came in. Luckily we got to bring her home, he also wanted to do a test to make sure that it wasn't me nursing her that was causing it. Luckily it wasn't.
I was released and was told that Brooklyn would be released around 12. But she needed to eat at 11. So I went home and bathed and ate a little bit. While I did that Mike made the phone calls that we needed. He had to stay home and wait for the Bili light to come to our house. So I went to the hospital on my own to feed Brooklyn. I fed her and gave her a bottle. I then went into the parents lounge to wait for her to be released. While there Mike called and said the lights came and asked if I wanted him to come and wait with me. I said yes and went to get him.
I picked up Mike and Abigail. We ran to the store to get a snack and went to the hospital. We had to go to the parents waiting room. We thought that it would be fast. But we were there for almost two hours. Mike and I were both tired Abigail was tired. Brooklyn finally came out. I tried to nurse her but she was upset so we just put her in the car seat and left. We decided to feed her when we got home.
We got home, Mike put Abigail down for nap while I started to feed the baby. She was relaxed enough that she ate. Mike then gave her a bottle and we tried to put her under the lights. She was not comfortable or something, because it took us over and hour to get her down. In that time Abigail woke up, partly my fault I had to keep going into her room to grab things. Abigail woke up crying and Brooklyn was crying I went in with Brooklyn while Mike tried to take care of Abigail. But she only wanted me. So we had to switch. I took Abigail outside for a little walk, while Mike got Brooklyn asleep.
She has been sleeping ever since. I think it is going to be a long night.

It hit me tonight....
That I will have another child tonight. I tried to play with Abigail as much as I could. We sang songs, we played with her ball and I helped put her to bed.
The hospital called today, they said they are going to call anytime between 8 and 10 in the morning to come in. I am so excited, I just want it to be here. I am so ready to see my little girl, that has been kicking me in the ribs for the past few months.
So Mike told me of something funny that Abigail did during church. She has learned how to take off her shoes. During sacrament she usually takes her shoes off. Anyway, after the closing prayer Mike tried to put her shoes on her and she started to scream. She didn't want him to put her shoes on. He finally got them on and right after he did she jumped off the bench and ran out into the hall before he did. She ran right to the nursery room. We think she thought that he was putting her shoes on to take her home. She loves nursery.
I can't wait until I can go back to church. I haven't been for 3 weeks due to my bed rest. I notice that I miss when I can't go.
