I am an aunt again!!!

My brother and his wife had there last baby that they are going to have early this morning at 12:22 AM.

Her name is Karyn (pronounced Car in) she weighed 8 pounds 2 ounces and is 21 inches long. She is also two weeks early.
Baby is a little bruised but the mom and baby are both doing well.

we want to go visit but all of three of us have colds so we are going to visit when we feel better. Abigail has had a cold for about a week and mine and Mike's just hit today.

I can't wait to see her though.

The pushy salesman

Last night, I had just put Abigail in her high chair for dinner, when there was a knock on our door. I went to see who it was, it was my neighbor being nice telling me there was ice on our steps and porch. She didn't want Mike to come home late at night and fall. While she was talking to me, she looked over and said watch out that is a sales guy, he will probably come over. We then got back to talking, before we could finish the most annoying sales guy walked up.

My neighbor left and I was like well my daughter needs dinner so I should go feed her. He either didn't hear me or didn't want to hear me. He started talking about how he wanted to sale me coupons for oil changes he was like it is only 90 dollars today. I was like well I don't have 90 dollars today. He was like well your neighbor friend post dated her check you can do that. I said in 90 days I still won't have money, we have a very tight budget.

He still wouldn't take no for an answer, so I was like I should talk to my husband first before I spend that kind of money and he is at work. He then asked me, if he was going to come home before 8:30. I told him that is depended on the night, but probably no. He was like can you text him. So I Im'd (instant messaged) Mike and he said no. I told the sales guy and he was like well tell him this this and this. I was like ok and Mike still said no. I once again told the sales guy no. The sales guy finally got a hint and was like ok, I will go. But before he left the news was on and the weather was on and he wouldn't leave until he saw the 7 day forecast.

I was so happy when he was finally gone. It was one of those times I wish Mike would of been home with me. He would of gotten rid of me a lit faster than I could.

update of our life

Life has been somewhat busy, but at the same time I have been bored.

Saturday night we had fun we went to dinner with my parents and my older brother and his little girl. It was fun to visit with them, but the food....well that is a different story. There is a difference between my parents and I they love buffets, I do not. I just like my food to be made fresh for me. I guess I am picky.
After dinner we went to Target to get a few things, then we went and played a game at my parents. It was a good night.

Sunday was a normal Sunday. We woke up went to church. Abigail was really good in nursery again. It makes me so happy that she doesn't give them any trouble. We just hung out at home that night. It was nice we could just relax and do nothing.

Tuesday was fun Mike and I and his brother and his brother's wife went to a Jazz game. We ate at a really good deli up in Salt Lake. I had a BLT it was so good. After we just went to the gate way mall and tried to stay warm. The Jazz game was good even though the Jazz lost. It was close , so I think that's all that mattered. Mike's mom was nice enough to come up and baby sit Abigail. Abigail was really good for her.

I took my first test for the semester on Wednesday and I decided I should of studied more. But its all good its only one test. I won't know how I did for awhile.

Abigail has a cold right now, she is congested, has a cough, a runny nose, and you can hear her breathing, because of her congestion. I feel so sorry for her. I hate when she is sick I would rather be sick than her. But I learned something in a class once that it is better for your kids to get sick so they can build up their antibodies. If they don't they can be really sick as adults. I say as long as it isn't the stomach flu bring it on.

Mike is good, just really busy between work and school. But since his hours got cut he never has to leave before 10:30 in the morning and is usually home between 8 and 9. It is nice because he feeds Abigail breakfast in the morning.

I am good, just taking two online classes online. I am still not feeling good, morning sickness sickness loves me this pregnancy. I have decided that I am hoping that I have a girl. Just because of how tight money is. That way I don't have to buy new clothes. I guess we will find out in a couple of weeks.

table pictures and a few of abigail

Abigail's new table. I had to clean it off because it is her storage place.
I am going to lunch today with a friend and she is driving so we put Abigail's car seat in the living room. Abigail was playing in her seat and she got quiet I looked over and this is what I found. I guess it was time for nap time.

Abigail's new table

I have been thinking about getting Abigail a chair for a long time. She always tends to sit on her toys or other things that she can fall off of and she has.

So the other night while I was trying to pick up our family pictures ( which is a different story) I decided to look for a chair. I didn't see any that I liked until I saw a table set that came with two chairs. I thought it would be perfect for her and it was on sale so I bought it.

I brought it home and Abigail ran right up to the box and was excited and would not leave my side the whole time that I was making it for her. I made the chairs first and she would try to sit on them. But they were slippery and meant for a 3 year old but I helped her. After I made the table she got really good at getting on it.

Everyday now she plays around her table and has fun with it. We are so happy that we bought it for her. I will post a picture another day of it I just have not taken one and I am being lazy.

jumping beans?

I swear someone gives Abigail jumping beans while she is in bed. Because now instead of making noise by talking or crying when she wakes up from naps I hear her jumping in her bed.

Its not so bad when I am in the living room, but when I am in our bedroom it is so loud. I think it is the loudest first thing in the morning, when she wakes up at 7 and thinks it is time to get up. Soon she is jumping and her bed is hitting the wall. I am like why is she up? Doesn't she know her mommy likes to sleep in.

She jumps too if we put her to bed and she isn't ready to go to bed. The other night we put her in bed and she jumped for like an hour. I actually think it is quite funny, but I am just wondering who gave her the jumping beans?

Dr Appointment

I had my 16 week check up today. Everything looks good, I haven't gained much weight(which is good) blood pressure is good.

I was able to hear the heart beat, the Dr said it is really strong.

I am showing already which is fun and I have been feeling the baby move. Which makes it more real for me.

Next month we have our ultrasound appointment to find out the sex we hope. Then I have a Dr appointment right after. The Dr asked me if I thought I knew what it was. I told him what I thought. I guess I will see if I am right.

Abigail's theme song

Abigail has a theme song. A couple of weeks ago Mike's work cut down their closing time from 10 to 8. Which is nice, because he is home more. Anyway, I decided that Abigail gets to stay up until he comes home, so they can say good night to each other. Abigail really loves it.

Every night when we hear him come home, Abigail starts getting really excited and jumps and squeals, if he doesn't come right in, she starts screaming and looks at the door sad. But as soon as he opens the door she runs right to the door and squeals until he picks her up and gives her hugs. He then helps get her ready for bed and puts her to bed. If he isn't the one who does it she cries for her daddy.

The other night the song that came into my head was the primary song "I'm so glad when daddy comes home." I have decided I am going to teach it to her.

GO

The other night Mike and I were watching football. For those who know me I have not been a football fan until I got married. Anyway we were saying go. Abigail started yelling GO then she ran to the nearest wall hit it once and turned and smiled at us.

For the rest of the night she would yell GO and she would run to the wall and hit it once. We think it is really funny that is what she thinks that is what go means.

an update

It has been a long time since I have written on my blog. Either I have been busy, feeling sick or just had nothing to say.

We had a good Christmas, we went to my parents for Christmas eve dinner. It was good to be with family and have fun. Later that night we drove to Delta to spend a couple of days with Mike's parents. It was fun and Abigail warmed up really fast this time. Half of the time she was running around playing. She really loves her aunt Shelly every time she would come over, Abigail would clap her hands and run to her. We came back on Friday to spend a few days alone which was good we were all tired and we had to teach our primary class for the last time.

New Years eve was kind of fun and boring that day I went and hung out with some of my old high school friends some of them that I have not seen for ten years or more. Abigail had fun, we took her to the play area at the mall, which has a big tree and she just walked around the tree looking at everyone. That night one of my old roommates came over and we just talked. I didn't stay up until midnight. Which I blame on the pregnancy I have been really tired. I did wake back up at midnight though because people were doing fireworks and screaming happy new year, not yelling but screaming.

We finally got our student loan money this week, so Saturday we went shopping the whole day. We bought a bunch of things that we needed. We finally bought Abigail a dresser and we bought her a bed so she can go into that when they new baby comes. It is a black day bed with metal frames. We are going to put her in it a couple of months before the baby comes so she will be used to it. We also bought a new car seat and a stroller. I know it is a bit early but we have the money and decided we better do it now. We are also saving money to buy clothes if it is a boy. Which we will find out next month yay!

Abigail has been good. I took her to her 18 month appointment the other day. She has gained a lot of weight which makes her Dr. Happy she is now 19 pounds. Her Dr. said to keep doing what we have been doing which is giving her chocolate milk. He said he usually wouldn't tell parents to give their kids only chocolate milk but in Abigail's case she needs it. She now has 10 teeth her top 4 and bottom 4 then two bottom molars. She is talking a lot more. She also goes and gets diapers for me when I ask for them. Abigail did the weirdest thing the other night. We put her to bed and about a half hour later we heard her crying. I usually try to ignore it for a little bit, but I had this feeling that I had to go in there. When I did I noticed that she had wrapped her leg around 3 bars of her crib. Out then in then out again and she was stuck. I had to have Mike come in and help me unwrap her leg. We had to push the mattress back and work on it. We finally got it and cuddled her for a little bit. I would of took a picture but my main concern at the time was getting her out.
We took her to nursery for the first time yesterday. She was really good. They said she cried for about 2 minutes a half hour I dropped her off. But the rest of time she played and she shared books and toys with they other kids. It made me so happy, that she is such a good girl. Mike and I will drop her off every other week. We teach primary right after sacrament so we need to take turns.

We are now teaching the Valiant 10 class, which is 9 year old that turn 10 this year. We have found so far that they are an easier group to teach. They sit there and listen and they actually respond to questions to we ask more that it makes us happy and we smile,(what we got from our ctr 7 class.

School starts in 2 days. Mike has a full schedule, plus work, so I will see him once in awhile. I am only taking 2 online classes. I didn't have a baby sitter for this semester so it will be easier on me. I am still waiting to hear from my teachers to find out what I need to do.

I am starting to show a little bit, but like my last pregnancy it is going slow. I think I have felt the baby move. It just feels like a tickle, but it happens a lot. I have my next appointment on the 15th of this month. Unless something happens before then.

Mike and I are taking his brother and sister-in-law to a Jazz game on the 27th. It is a thank you for babysitting slash Christmas present. I am trying to find a baby sitter now for that night, because I don't think Abigail would like it.

We are finally getting some new family pictures tomorrow, we haven't had them since Abigail was 6 weeks old. It will be good to update our photos.
